Smell- HUGE juicy, succulent tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, light resin, and floral accents. One of the best smelling beers I’ve ever had!
Taste- Immensely drinkable. Tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, pine resin and floral accents. Rye compliments it wonderfully with a nice kick of that spicy rye flavor. Good malt presence as well.
Overall- This was one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Huge, thick, succulent, citrus aromas and flavors. This will be in my fridge from here on out. Butters_Hard (26) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2014
Rye ales can become ‘cerealy’ and too reminiscent of a bowl of Shreddies when overdone. One Claw is subtly rye influenced with lots of hops to balance. Clean and rich with lots of citrusy, grassy hops.
Grapefruit, mango and guava flood the palate. A superb rye pale at just the perfect ABV.

I’m a big fan of hoppy ales, with that being said, this rye pale ale is absolutely delicious! Citrusy, grape fruity and the palate feel is superb. nathan30533 (1020) - Clifton, Ohio, USA - MAR 19, 2014
Great tasting American Pale Ale. The Rye balances it and sets it apart. Good looking beer with a rich color and wonderful forming head with great lacing. Smell and taste the hops and rye. Great brew.

12oz can from Valhalla’s Goat. Hazy yellow brown, good head. Spicy sweet wood hop aroma. Biscuit hop flavour. Sweet hoppy aftertaste. Well balanced fantastic beer. LeRoytheAlien (55) - Kennesaw, Georgia, USA - OCT 8, 2014
Golden-colored, with a white head that leaves beautiful lacing, the aroma is herbal/citrus hops, taste is the same with clean rye notes, very crisp, balanced bitterness, overall my favorite year-round from Westbrook and easily my favorite rye pale ale. hopwine (670) - brooklynzzzzz, New York, USA - DEC 31, 2015
Nose is peach, apricot, floral. Flavor is same plus a touch of rye spice, hint of mango. Phenomenal pale. Iaspan (17) - GREECE - APR 27, 2016
Pint. One of the top pale ales out there. Rye and pine at the nose, light body, lasting taste at the end. Recommended! Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 22, 2014
from Erzbierschof; canned - cloudy darkblond beer with a little white foam left; solid fruity hoppiness where notes of mango and apricot dominate; light spicy notes; a good malt backbone, some astringency, very assertive and very bitter; very dry and long fruity hoppy finish -refreshing and with a lot of character; great stuff
