COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For our Second Anniversary beer, we tapped into the legendary fictional adventures of the mythical Cap’n Skoon to bring you this monster Baltic Stout. It’s big and roasty like an Imperial Stout but fermented with a German lager yeast. Ideal for sipping now, or be like the Cap’n and stash some away in your cargo hold for the years to come. Cheers!

Good taste with a rich dark color even in the froth. Just a hint of the alcohol and an overall smooth finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Greenville Beer Exchange. Pours black and viscous with an j ch of brown foam. A bit of roasted malt on the nose. Lots of raisin and licorice on the tongue. It’s got some alcohol burn on the finish. Solid for style.

May Ale Alpharetta. While this is better than the bourbon version I had in a cask, this beer just doesn’t tickle my fancy. And I am a Westbrook fanboy. Chocolate, licorice, lots of dark fruits, and the yeast is working against my palate. Nice thick palate, but the flavors just aren’t there for me.

Bomber share @ SHAPE NFL Fantasy Draft. Thanks Steven. Bottled 12/18/2012.

tandembrauer (1475) - Stavanger, NORWAY - OCT 28, 2015
On tap at What’s Brewing Beer Festival 2015, Stavanger. Pours black with brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Some sweetness, some roasted bitterness. Medium bodied.

651mL from a trade on BA. Pours inkier black, thicker mocha foam. Nose is strawberry ice cream, strawberry milkshake, some hefty tar and green olive. Taste is dry, dusty, some harsh acid. Dry, papery palate. Was disappointing.
