Poured virtually black with a small beige ring. Aroma of sweet vanilla and roast malt. Full body, flavour is heavy creme Brule, deep roasted malt, coffee grinds. Ibrew2or3 (8913) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - DEC 23, 2013
22oz bomber pours with a deep dark body that supports a mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, earthy dark chocolate, some chocolate brownie and then a light amount of molasses. The taste delivers rich malt deepened dark roasted malts mixed with dark chocolate goodness and then getting into some vanilla bean and spicy black strap molasses. Wow! This is dynamite dark roasted goodness. Great stuff. RABinCO (1511) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Bomber. Pours deep black with a creamy, dark tan head. Moderate lacing. Aroma is chocolate, very dark roast espresso, and a bit of mint. Taste is dark chocolate mocha. Very rich but surprisingly (and pleasantly) dry. The higher ABV is rather subdued and really sneaks up. One of the best beers I’ve had in awhile. mixmasterob (1060) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle from Hop City. Nice find. Thick black pour with a dense but quickly fading dark brown head. Very pretty. Aroma was very Baltic porter esque with big roasty malts and earthy hops. Somewhat of a lactose presence in the nose and finish. Flavors were welcoming and actually somewhat subtle. The subtle ness was actually quite nice and made this way drinkable and rather refreshing. Big roasted malts, coffee, light vanilla and a clean light bitter finish. The lager yeast gives this an almost delicate profile among the massive amounts of malt and hops. This was fantastic. 650 ml bottle, kindly shared by gunnar and our beerpal Ole Anders. ABV is 10%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Excellent aroma, notes of roasted malts, tobacco and leather. Very roasty flavour, fairly sweet, but still remarkably balanced by decent hops. Travlr (26430) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 11, 2013

Bottle from JCB. Thanks! Deepest of black pour with orange-tan head. Nose is a mix of dark, bitter chocolate, roast malt, vanilla cream, caramel, molasses, and faint, floral dark fruits. Flavor is decadent dark chocolate, light caramel syrup, toffee, dark fruit that finishes with a mildly ashy roast and more chocolate. Some alcohol notes throughout. Truly a big, coating mouthfeel. Lingering dark chocolate covered sweet caramel and dark fruit. This is a monster indeed. Highly recommended.
