Tap. Pours opaque black, large dark brown head, creamy, great lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor is the same plus coffee, cocoa powder, little sweetness, medium bitterness. Full body. Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - MAR 10, 2013
A: Pours a pitch black color with a thick, dark mocha head forming on the pour. The retention is top notch. Sticky sheets of lace are left down the glass.
S: This is big beer. Super roasty with some fruity yeast in the periphery. Alcohol notes are present, but it doesnít detract from the roasted malts and big dark chocolate notes. Some cocoa powder is there as well.
T: A ton of roasted malts, some char and a touch of cocoa bean. Bitter dark chocolate with some light fruity yeast in the background. Definitely seems like an amped up Baltic porter due to the yeast strain. Enjoyable.
M: Low carbonation. Silky smooth across the palate. Medium bodied. Finish is chocolate and big roast.
O: This a big and roasty beer, but the yeast strain drops subtle hints that itís still got some Baltic porter bloodlines at heart. Itís pretty ready to go now with the booze well hidden. Donít really see this benefiting from any extended aging. Maybe a year if you want the robust roasted malts to die down a bit.

Sampled at esbls. Black. Minimal head. I smell very light tobacco. It is tasted, too. Some ash. Hops are bigger than is evident. Alcohol is well hidden. Tasty. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Great roasty and coffee flavors, great sweet body and rich and thick. Really dig it fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 28, 2013

Pitch black color with no head, just a thin brown collar. Strong aroma of roasted malt, some tar, light phenol, very light banana. Thick body, just a bit oily; very good roasted malt flavor, clean, with plenty of dark chocolate, a bit salty, with some liquorice and tar, and delicate fruitiness; strong bitterness.
Powerful, extreme, very pleasant. Less resiny than an Imperial Stout, but very similar.
Black colour. Roasted malt, dark fruits aroma. Sweet, dark chocolate and coffee taste. BuckeyeBoy (7514) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 16, 2013
22oz bottle pours out dark brown almost black topped with a small brown head. Aroma of booze, sweet milk chocolate, ans roast malts. Taste much as the aroma with the chocolate, leading the way, a nice bitter end. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUL 31, 2013
Nice dark brown pour with a brown head. Flavors of rich chocolate, some raisins, toasted malt, and finishes a bit dry, almost like there is some rye in it. These guys are good. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Dark mahogany pour with a midnight core. Small latte head that diminished to a wisp and a ring. Nose is of cocoa, soy, vanilla, and dark fruit. Flavor filled with shoyu...Kikkoman through and through. Some brownie batter and fudge, but tons of briney qualities. Sticky and coating. Molasses, caramel, and salt-water taffy. An interesting take on a Baltic Porter. Itzjerm (2794) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - SEP 1, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2013 Updated from bottel. Pitch black. nice dark head that stays. Pretty awesome.
Rasberry flavor rich dark taste. Enjoyable beer with non stellar aroma. Sweetness is nice. But not to great.
