Slightly hazy golden amber color. Meringue like foamy head. Excellent presence of both rye spice and juicy citrus/melon flavors. Medium body, smooth, slightly sticky.

COD 1/30/17. Clear light amber pour (honey wheat). World class head volume, lacing and retention. Quite outstanding nose of citrus and tropical hops with a touch of rye spiciness. Orange and mango are the strongest with a hint of spruce and a subtle pineapple over a slightly sweet base. Light body with a hint of slickness. World class carbonation / body balance with just the perfect amount of effervescence to make the flavors pop. The finish is finely bubbled and approaches rollicking. The flavor is quite outstanding and is similar to the nose. Orange leads then shifts to mango as the middle arrives. The sweetness is perfectly balanced to bring forth hop flavor and to contrast with the moderate bitterness. After the middle, spruce and pine emerge in competition with the fruits. About 3 quarters through, rye arrives with a light spiciness. The finish has a slight dryness, a touch of alcohol astringency and lingers slightly bitter after a slow slightly sweet fade.

Somehow better than the Westbrook one claw....smoother and richer. If you even kind of like that, you'll love this! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at source. Murky orange juice pour with small white head. Nose is super tropical to rival something like trillium. Very fruity with light earthiness underneath. Taste is initially lightly bitter, again falling in line with a NE IPA. Lots of green grass hop flavor with light rye character. Decent. Flavor seems to fall short of the nose. Finishes with more rye spice. Decent.

Tap @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 05/02/17. Pours amber with a decent, off-white head. Aroma is caramel, hoppy, full, some citrus, fruity. Taste is full and chewy, conifer, caramel, some spiciness, good, slight lime. A rather older style of IPA, but well-executed.

Fresh can from Premier Gourmet. Very smooth rye hoppy beer. Flavour not coming through as clearly over the rye.

pours cloudy not murky thank god. still gotta dock it. cuz beer shouldnt be hazy brah. golden orange cloudy. white head. smells like mango grapefruit passion fruit orange and rye. it smells like every NE style wants to. this is the bomb smell. it tastes fucking good dude. grapefruit peel sour bitterness spice from the rye drying it out quickly. body is a bit thin. the taste could be fuller body could be thicker carbonation could be zippier. it could be clearer. still this is a damn good beer. definitely the best ive had from west brook. because 1 claw and their ipa both suck. so does their gose though. you know im surprised this beer is that good.. smell and taste matter most right?
