COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

12 oz. can, consumed on 12-29-15. Belgian aroma. Scents of lemon, lemon peel, bison grass, vanilla, lavender, and orange peel. Strong and interesting smell. Not a normal beer aroma. The sweet floral quality may be a little too much. Pours a clear, highly effervescent, deep gold with a moderate amount of off-white head. Yeasty cloudiness in the final pour. Looks cool. Flavors of ginger and lemongrass. Belgian yeast taste. A bit of dry bitterness. Floral, herbal taste. Pretty good. Not as sweet as aroma implies, and that’s probably for the best. Light to medium body. Soft in the palate. Decent and interesting beer overall. Probably don’t want to drink a lot of it, but nice to try. Well made.

33 cl can. Hazy light golden with a thin head. Bready malts, citrusy and spicy, probably due to the lemongrass and ginger. Medium sweet with a low bitterness, soft carbonation, watery. An inovative take on a belgian wit.

On tap @ Westbrook. Murky/turbid orange-yellow colored beer with white foam. There’s a strong lemon and soap aroma here. Pretty strong spice and herbal qualities, too. A little bit woody, some sweet fruity esters, and a whole lot of yeast. Mild chalk quality to the mouthfeel. Kind of earthy tasting, lots of lemon, and some wood. Maybe a bit of lemon candy sweetness, too. Not a fan.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is classic witbier but with a twist. You can definitely tell there are some other, non-traditional spices added. Taste confirms it. I get the ginger but just a hint. It’s also more bitter and hoppy. Body is soft and has a good amount of carbonation. Quite nice overall, an interesting take on a belgian wit.

Canned from boxbeers.dk.Pours clear yellow in colour with a thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is lighly spicy, some grains, yeast, light citrus. The flavour is fruity, only light spice, a fair amount of citrus, moderate sweetness. Finishes long, sweetish.
