500 ml bottle from Ales By Mail. Pours clear deep red/amber with a big creamy off-white head, very good looking. Weak sweet fruity aroma, some roasted malts and a good dash of liquorice. Good liquorice taste, moderate dry, high carbonated, long dry liquorice finish, very good one. RichardGretton (4861) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2016
Bottle. Dark amber reddish beer with a great frothy head. The aroma is well hopped with a touch of roastedness. The flavour is extremely well hopped with bags of bitterness and dryness, some maltiness and roastedness as well . Overall a very nice pale ale.

Pours a clear dark amber with a small creamy off-white head. Malty burnt caramel and fruitcake (brandy and fruit) aroma. Sweet malty beginning followed by burn’t brandy soaked raisins with a long mellow bitter finish. A very nice pint, I think I’ll have another.

Pours a beautifully clear dark amber with medium carbonation and a good cream head. Aroma is malt forward with some dark crystal in there, but there’s hops there too from the Goldings. Caramel, dark sugar, raisin, tangerine, blackcurrant, biscuit, with some smoke and spice. Nice boozy, smoky finish. Decent beer. hohops (1157) - Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2015
Cask. Pours clear amber with a very small foamy head. Aroma is chocolate and toffee, with sweet malty undertones. Taste- very malt-forward, hints of milk chocolate, toffee, sugary raisins. Pretty good stuff overall. SNL (849) - - NOV 18, 2015
