Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl.
Appearance - a lovely lava colour. A nice fluffy head.
Nose - pancakes and syrup.
Taste - wood and then syrup again. Bitter salad leaves. Then wood tannins return.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry woody tannic finish.
Overall - gnarly but good. sm89walt (2065) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 8, 2009
Cask - White Cliffs Beer Festival. A dark ruby red colour with a fine beige head. Strawberry aromas and a malty caramel character. More berries in the taste on a thickish body. A smooth mouthfeel and a dry fruit finish.

Cask handpull, SIBA Champions’ Fest 09. Aroma mint sauce, meat stock, jellied red fruit, wood and sweat. That’s what my semi-legible scribblings say, anyway. Had about 20 after hours halves lined up by this stage like a mad scientist, and things were starting to get a bit...shabby. Rummy wood notes, chew of raisin, light body, hint of aniseedy spice maybe. Dryish hop finish. Odd but enjoyable. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2010

Semi hazy amber gold with a thin white film topping. Big and fruity with some candy sugar and barley. The extra booze is showing slightly but it’s not killing it. Sugary finish with some late dryness. Lots of length. Straight forward but enjoyable.
