A golden coloured ale using the finest Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt and a small amount of Amber Malt which imparts a dry, biscuity flavour. Hops are First Gold for an added citrus quality and a fruity, slightly spicy note.

Cask : Robin Hood, Bexleyheath. Light straw colour, light hop aroma and mild malt flavour linger in the mouth. A very drinkable beer with a lot of flavour for a 3.8%er. A good example of a classic Englaish pale ale.

Gravity cask at Lobster Pot, West Malling Golden, Some citric hops bit of peach lots of hops on end. Excellent session bitter if a bit dusty.

A decent spa that I had on cask. Pours a golden amber hue with a light buttery, nutty aroma. Flavors range from apples to a slight citrus note.

Gazza (727) - Worcester, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2004
Rather a middle of the road beer to be honest, although it does have an engaging fruitiness and smooth malty body with a modest glimmer of bitterness in the finish. My first beer of the day, so I should have been firing on all cylinders taste wise… (Cask @ Lowes Arms, Denton)

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - St Albans Beer Festival. A copper-gold coloured beer with a banana lemon aroma. The taste is smooth, creamy and mellow. Quite tasty.

Cask Conditioned @ the Saturday session, St Albans Beer Festival 2004. Beer #12. Floral & perfumy, slightly dry, hoppy with some faint malt. It has the making of a good beer but isn’t good.

duff (5486) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2004
[email protected] BF. Slightly green (a common them on the day). Besides this light in all departments, quite dry and leafy, empty palate, grainy/edgy palate.

Beer #8 at Dartford Beer Festival, with SilkTork and Duff. The second beer from the new Westerham brewery and this one wasn’t ready either. Judging from IDTP’s rating that is a real shame. It was a nice pale bronze colour. Beyond that, there’s not much more I can say. Must re-rate this if the opportunity arises. Cask (gravity dispense).

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2006 July, 2004.Dartford Fest. Gravity. This was a replacement for the green British Bulldog. Sadly it was also green. Apple notes everywhere. Beyond the apples it came over as an average dry session bitter. [2.7]
Dec, 2005.<a href=http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/26/269 Intent, Rochester. Mmmm. Fresh and wonderful. Good hoppy session bitter, crammed with fresh flavours. The hops are robust and delightful, and the malt is juicy, sweet and very full. Very impressive for a 3.8% beer. Glad to have another crack at this in good condition. [4.3]

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Golden and in top condition. Topped with a bright white head. Musty aroma. Strong bitter flavour. One-dimensional but pleasant just the same.
