1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Color is somewhere in between golden and very ligth brown, with a hint of red. Smells hoppy and a bit sweet. First taste is not nice. Aroma has cellar and rotten eggs, which develop a little lighter cough drop and herbs. The beer does not have any head, and it is flat as dead sea water. I have had better beers, but it is not often when museum is selling a beer made for them so I had to have this. Just in case you want to find this beer just go to Royal Observatory at Greenwich London.
Light brown ale, slightly under-carbed for a bottle beer. Weak aroma and first impression give slightly nutty & oak flavours followed by bitter, hoppy undertones. Quite disappointing at first and looks much better than it tastes, but does recover as you persevere. Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2011
Flaske 0,5l - julegave fra Kjersti & Hedinn. Uklar. Aprikosfarget. Fruktig aroma. Rik fruktig smak: Plommer. Svakt søtlig ettersmak. Rune (13001) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 20, 2011
Thanks to Finn for a 500ml bottle of this one. Has got a cloudy, copper-orange body with a thin, off-white head containing lots of dimples and leaving spotty lacing behind. Fruity malts to the nose. Leafy hops backed by caramel malts to the taste buds. Mild bitter end that lasts for a while. Standard, well-balanced English bitter (Tromsø, 20.01.2011). jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2009
Hint of toffee in the aroma. Light brown colour, off-white head, fair lace. Malty, toffee, light biter, light fruity, hint of licorice. Flat. Easy going, bit boring.
