On draft this pours dark red with a beige head. Good head retention. This sweet, citrus, smelling ale balances sweet chocolate, fresh citrus with a good bitter finish. tessam (11) - IRELAND - MAR 12, 2018
Lovely looking beer. Red with strong white head. Sweet caramel upfront with and strong bitter finish. Very good happy red ale. SHIG (5322) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - JAN 24, 2018
Bottle: Poured a Amber with tan head. Aroma is light hops and malts. Taste is pine forward hops with a lingering bitterness, finish is malty. This one was foamy from the pour on and bit off putting. DraftDoctor37 (12) - - FEB 19, 2017
A strong red ale, not an Irish red that I was expecting. Great happy red, a pleasant surprise. mixer006 (44) - Dublin, IRELAND - JAN 25, 2017
Very hoppy red ale, not what I was expecting. Thick chewy mouthfeel, good bitter finish to clear and go again. Really liked this.

This borders on a red IPA. Definitely not your usual Irish red, great hop aroma, nice bitterness and sweetness from the darker malts. elbernays (1752) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUL 2, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2016 Bottle from mchughs. Pours copper red with off white head. Fruit, strawberry, floral, wood, earth, spice nose. Flavor is a sticky caramel with a earthy wood bitter finish. Well rounded and tasty. Gazington (15) - Ennis, IRELAND - JUN 3, 2016
Strong aroma of C-hops mixed with a biscuity malt, an earthy, malty taste with hints of chocolate and a smooth finish, Reds aren’t my thing but this one is highly drinkable culchiem (4339) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2016
Draught at LMG. Dark Amber with a medium head. Aroma is peppery malt. Flavour has hints of chilli, chocolate malt, earthy hops. Spicy tangy finish, this is excellent.
