This rye IPA, brewed with honey, rye, and caramel malts, combines the spice of a rye with the sweet malt notes of honey. We added heaping amounts of Falconer’s Flight hops during the boil and then dry hopped it to create a citrusy IPA.

Golden orange, 1 finger bubbly head. Spicy piney, citrus, grapefruit, oats. A lot of rye in this one, spice is very present, juicy citrus, sweet finish. The rye is really intense.

APPEARANCE - light amber in color, no cloudiness - surprising for a rye. Head hugs the sample glass, but that’s it. NOSE - nice hop balance. Before my first sip i got some fruitiness, after the resiny side makes it presence known. FLAVOR - Begins a little bit bitter, ends there too. Not much depth to it, and it lacks mouth feel.

Poured from can. Aromas of grapefruit citrus and rye. Taste is similar with a grainy and slightly bitter finish.

12 oz. can purchased at the brewery by Chalumeaux, much thanks for the chance! Aroma shows spicy rye malt and lemon citrus hops.

The flavor starts with subtle rye spice upfront followed by grapefruit pith and citrus peel. Has some balance with a sweet pale grainy finish. Medium body with a light lingering bitterness at the conclusion. Decent

Super fluffy head which is kind of annoying when trying to drink it. Sweet citrus aroma. Hazy deep amber color. Typical IPA bite with a hint of honey. Thick malt feel and finish.

Six pack of cans from Muckey’s. Pours out over-carbonated. Big fluffy light tan head. Light copper color. Flavor is clean and smooth but underwhelming. I was hoping for more bite.

Very disappointed with this local product. Lacking in body and overly carbonated. Didn’t taste like an IPA to me and ranks as one of the poorer IPA’s I’ve purchased. There was no dating on the can so I can’t determine if it may have been out of date but it was purchased within 10 miles of the brewery at a major beer store. Doubt that I’ll try this one again.

12oz can that exploded upon opening. Murkiest golden amber liquid I have ever seen with a huge head so overly carbonated that I was convinced this beer had gone bad. Maybe it had gone bad but it was actually pretty tasty. It reminded me of a homebrew (but in a good way). Not quite right but very drinkable and unique. Huge grapefruit notes and the honey and rye is there too. Pretty interesting brew.

The rye balances this one out nicely. I would rate it as a good IPA for those summer days on the deck.

Bottle at home in CT - picked up at that package store near the Lee exit of the Mass Pike. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a large, frothy white head. Inviting aroma of melon, grapefruit and grass. Light sweet flavor with dry minerals, super dry pale malts, grapefruit pith. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Unsurprisingly this beer is very dry on the finish with further minerals, dried pale mats, straw and pithy citrus fruits. Pretty clean and refreshing thoughnlackingnin flavor somewhat.
