3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
An interesting first attempt at a shandy, this falls far short of something I’d order a full pint of or purchase off the shelf. Instead of blended flavors you get a very distinct staging of sequential changes that leave the palate confused. The aroma and initial flavor are dominated by strawberry. Next you get a big sizzle from the presumably higher than normal carbonation, similar to some Belgian Ales that range into 3.4 volumes rather than the standard 2.4. Next you get a vague creaminess from the wheat that makes the strawberry fizz seem out of place. The finish is both tart and malty. Somehow most of the other flavors wash away and you are left with the light taste of crystal malt?

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Chalumeaux supplying fresh can, canned at the brewery yesterday. Almost a pink hue to the golden brew. Aroma is light berries and lemons.
The body is light and refreshing with a nice amount of lemonade that was blended well the strawberry brew. The Strawberry is natural with a fresh lemonade finish. Pretty easy to drink.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz can, filled yesterday in front of Chalumeaux. Thanks, TJ! Fullest can I’ve ever opened. Pours peach orange with a scant off white head. Aroma is wheat, pepper, dry strawberry. Flavor is strawberry, wheat, mild lemon. Light, and a touch sweet. Good for the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 12 oz can freshly canned at the brewery on 8/1/15. Pours light strawberry color with no head. Aromas are strawberry up front with hints of wheat. Taste is effervescent the strawberry is not so sweet that it over powers and you do get the creamy wheat mouth feel. A solid drinker on a hot day.
