4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Overall, this double is very agreable, easy to drink.
Aroma of caramel malt, raisins and banana.
Brown color, medium body, lively carbonation and bitter finish.
This beer is medium sweet and bitter, well balanced with notes of banana and something that makes me think of almond-flavoured liqueur.

Smells and tastes of raisins, mushrooms, alcohol, wood, and roasted malt. I guess you could also convince me of the "ripe banana" in the description, though it’s not the first thing that comes to mind. Classic dubbel flavour. rob19a (349) - - JUL 20, 2017
13/20 very smooth, not a massive taste but the fruity taste was there. mega fizzy, had to spoon off some foam after pouring. easy drinking dubbel but not the most complex i’ve tasted. PowerUnit (5) - New Brunswick, CANADA - JUL 18, 2017 does not count
After a hot bike ride at the Keiser Karel in Olen, one of these sure hit the spot. A bit bitter, but overall, quite enjoyable and refreshing. Maracuja05 (1280) - Mainz, GERMANY - JUL 17, 2017
30-06-17 // 2016 bottled version. Pours a deep brown beer with a nice twofinger thick frothy head.Mild banana ester nose. Taste is sweet malty, mild caramel, mild banana fruity. Dry finish.

Marrom, avermelhada contra a luz. Espuma bege, de curta duração.
No sabor tem caramelo, um certo doce frutado, lembra um pouco doce de bala, de açúcar mascavo também. Final e retrogosto levemente lupulado, cítrico e amargo. PaulMcClure (12) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 9, 2017
I was lucky enough to enjoy this one on tap from Brussels’ oldest bar. Everything about this beer from the dark amber/brown color to the roasted taste is right up my alley as far as beer is concerned. Absolutely would recommend this beer to anyone who can get their hands on it. Favorite of all the trappist beers. gripweed57 (2460) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUL 7, 2017
330 ml bottle. Translucent reddish brown color. Small, bubbly beige head. Dried fruit nose. Soft toasted malt flavor has a tangy, dark dried fruit essence. Subtle, yet complex. Nutty, earthy, vanilla notes. Sweet brown sugar malty notes in finish. Quite delicious, thank you. 17wojownik (484) - Kraków, POLAND - JUL 6, 2017
Oryginalna butelka 330 ml. Dobry dubbel, klasyka gatunku. Barwa rubinowo-brunatna. Pełne ciało, wysycenie niemałe. Aromaty ziemiste; w smaku delikatnie drożdżowe, nieduża refermentacja. Dobrze ułożone i skomponowane piwo; mimo iż nie jestem wielkim fanem stylu. sebsky (88) - ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2017
330 ml bottle @home,bb 26/04/2019.
Very dark red/brown. Malt and very light raisins aroma.
Bittersweet taste. Not bad.
