11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a clear, very dark brown with an off-white head. I decanted the bottle and left some yeast in the bottle. The aroma is of Belgian esters, dark malt and alcohol. The flavor is of dark french pastry with a carbonation bite. This is a fine example of a Belgian Dubbel. Note that it does not have the prune/raisin/cocoa taste that most American imitators have. Well done!
Dark murky brown with slight dark ruby tint. thin creamy head with medium carbonation. Aroma/Taste: plums, dates, apricots, vanilla, oak and that wonderfully familiar Belgian yeast. Excellent. killclik (2) - - MAR 18, 2018 does not count

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2018 Na nosie czerwone owoce, delikatne nuty alkoholowe, czekolada. W smaku wiśnie, drożdzowka, cynamon, jablko a w zasadzie ciepla szarlotka w smietanie. Zbyt lekkie, zbyt latwo pijalne ale nadal baaardzo solidny klasyk. Pieknie royalbeer (256) - NORWAY - MAR 13, 2018
Et ganske godt øl, passer til det meste av mat. Også behagelig som tørstedrikk.

Another good beer served at room temperature, so DO NOT refrigerate. Smells of very chocolaty and Banana like aroma's very nice, Although I would say a presence of yeast in the smell as well. Like the Westy XII, a very inviting brown color. Again I'm going with a chocolate like brown in color. The head is inviting, you don't want to wait for it to dissipate but coffee flavored froth which was very enjoyable. Taste was (again) chocolate and coffee like. Slightly bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2018 From bottle in an Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. Hazy dark mahogany with beige head. Aroma and taste of figs and dark fruits. Very slight sweetness. Faint hops. Full mouthfeel. Strong carbonation. evjoker (30) - - MAR 11, 2018
Seems to pair well with everything and has a really great palate that allows all the taste to cover through

Rich beer with nice dark flavors. Not the most special one I’ve ever tasted, but the dark aromas are quite pleasing.

Excellent dubbel from the Trappist masters! Dark, ruby brown with a bit of head. It's got this sweet maltiness to it, elements of spice too. Slight bitterness in the finish, very well balanced and easy to drink.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2018 Pours magnificent dark amber with brown-reddish, bubbly head. Aroma of malt, some freshness and sweetness of flowers. Taste is wonderfully balanced with bitter finish and sweet debut.
