A strong, dry and spicy trappist ale. The product of a secondary fermentation lasting 5 weeks. This is a complex ale with a fruity aroma and a nice nuanced hop scent. It is soft and creamy in the mouth, with a bitter touch carried by the fruity aroma. An exceptional ale, with a great deal of finesse and elegance, and with a splendid long after taste.

Bottle from the LCBO. I've had this beer many times, but apparently never rated it. Pours a deep golden yellow with a very finely bubbled white head. Big aroma of banana and clove, sweet light toffee, some citrus and pepper notes. Tastes of sweet toffee, straw, some coriander and banana, with a lingering hop bitterness at the end.

Trappist beer aroma, Trappist beer palate. Predictability is always a bad thing. Like come on. They changed BBQ Shapes from their traditional, predictable, flavour and Australia just about went to war ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Pours hazy light golden with a massive persistent creamy white head, leaving nice lacings. 5/5 Aroma: Citrus, citric, spice, pepper, grass and hops. 8/10 Taste: Pepper, spice, citrus, grapefruit, citric, malt and yeast, with notes of alcohol. A lot drier and bitter than the aroma suggests, spicy and a little sourness all the way through. Dry bitter finish with hops and spicy peppery alcoholic notes, lingering. 8/10 Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied, smooth and creamy, light carbonated. 4/5 Overall 12/20
