19.11.13 Bottled 330ml Saveur. BB 11/2017. Copper-amber color, good foamy white head - the bottle was gushing a bit. Berries in the nose, some bretta-like tartness, some caramel. Medium-bodied. Flavor has light bretta, caramel. Fruity, apricot-mango, passion fruit candy. Drinkable yes, Belgian yes, but not among the best Struises. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - DEC 7, 2011

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. (Notes says Motueka hops) It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer with a beige finger-thick size. The aroma is a bit sugary, with peach notes, fruit syrup and some peppery, spiced notes. It’s dry and well carbonated, with sweetness and a nice peppery touch. Peaches and bitterness too, finishing sweet, fruity and bitter. A bit on the sweet side I think, but tasteful anyway. 120511 Benzai (16681) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2011
Hazy orange color, slight yeast particals present. Average white head. Smell fruits, slight hints of hop and orange. Nice taste, soft yet kind of stimulating, tickling. It makes me want to taste more so that’s a good thing. Very good carbo, very good body. Very evenly balanced.

A hazed orange, amber pour with a white head. a fair bit of banana ester to the nose along with some orange peel and apricot fruitiness. A good malt and sugar sweetness and a lot of sugar. There is a lot of caramel and sugar sweetness to the palate, too. A fair amount of banana and tons of apricot fruit flavor. A definite alcohol presence, however. Bottle @ Bert’s Bierhuis, Utrecht. Pours cloudy golden with a small creamy head and lacings. Fruit, bubblegum, yeast, metal, earth and sweet and sticky alcohol. Medium bodied. Raw. Bitter end. Liked the 6% version much better!
Bottle, 8%. Fruity aroma, seems sweet. Seemingly clear greyish amber colour. Good stable off-white head. The flavour is sweet and slightly spicy. Good chalky mouthfeel. The sweetness is balanced by a good alcohol level, but still a tad on the sweet side. bhensonb (15745) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 30, 2012
Botle shared by Marcus. Pours orange amber with a transient beige head. Aroma is lightly fruity, mildly yeasty. Med body. It’s dry, yeasty, and a bit earthy. Quite a different tripel.
