dark and cloudy amber color, big frothy tan head. Aroma of vinegar and spices. Taste is well balanced with some acidity and sourness specific to flemish oud bruins after the initial sweetness. A very good flemish ale. wihlan (403) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 18, 2014
Flaska bishops Storgatan - mycket intressant doft som påminner om en spontanare. Ljus grumlig med en fin vit skumkrona. Komplex maltighet med någon krydda som ligger och smyger i bakgrunden. Valbalanserad! Bicky (13) - Waregem, BELGIUM - NOV 12, 2014
Bottle at home. Had some problems with gushing. Nice amber coulor, tan foam. Smells soure, some oranges, citrus, a little bit alcohol and some banana. Taste medium bitterness, a little salty, lightly sour, some banana, nice warming alcohol taste, a little smoke, some coffee. My opinion: the beer has a nice taste but is infected, if it gushed that much... Flanfl (801) - Lyon, FRANCE - JUL 6, 2015
Bottle. Yellow cloudy body, huge fluffy white head. Fruity (peach) and yeasty aroma with a sour side. Refreshing fruity flavour, sour. Sweet and sour finish. Medium body high carbo. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone L_Lovecraft (596) - - JAN 21, 2017
Acetic and sour notes, red fruits, yeast, amber with a huge ocher head, medium body, insanely fizzy, sour is quite intense, alcohol is very well hidden, apple, redcurrant...another strange masterpiece by De Struise.

Seriously, heed the warnings - this one’s explosive upon opening. But the half-beer I salvaged was great! Farmhouse-y, herbal aroma is complemented by a funky, sour candy taste with a rounded sweetness. Great balance of sweetness, tartness, and yeast. Downrated for appearance, since the massive amount of head is not so appealing when spouting all over your table... BigMomma (241) - Leuven, BELGIUM - FEB 8, 2011
33cl bottle, 3 weeks old.wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2011
Pours a slightly hazy dark golden tot light copper color with a steady white head.
The aroma has lots of spicy hops, some malts and still some yeasty presence. The taste starts faintly sweet and ends in a spicy dry hopbitter finish.
Decent brew but for the time being to young, so a retaste is necessary.
Bottle from the Struise shop. Poured a nice looking hazy orange colour with a plump off white head which faded to a lingering medium size. Interesting aroma
that was fragrant and earthy, with notes of candy, yeast, alcohol and tropical fruits. Flavour was along similar lines, with some hop presence that manifested itself more towards the finish. Quite an unusual brew that I warmed up to as the glass was drained.

33 cl bottle from Cracked Kettle. Orange/amber color, with big almost white head, shrinking to a small blanket. Smells like a (sweet) fruity triple: apple, peach, with some spiciness. Flavor is not as sweet as you would expect from the aroma’s but slightly so, malty sweetish, with hints of spices & bitterness. Maltiness develops, then a dry, fairly bitter finish. Good & solid Belgian triple (or whatever). kappldav123 (6097) - GERMANY - MAY 9, 2011
Bottle at ACBF 2011. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Starts modest salty-dry, sourish, mild fruity like lemon. Finish modest sweet. Nice!
