From a 50 cl bottle shared at home on Christmas eve. Pours a clear cola brown with a thin ecru head. Coffee nose. Flavors of chocolate and roasted nuts. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Bitter roast finish. jrodooo5 (1671) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - DEC 18, 2013
Incredible roasted chocolate aroma w/ a great deep dark pour w/ a tan head the slowly fizzles into decent lacing. The taste doesn’t quite live up to the scent however. The body is a touch thin but still packs a big roasty punch. It leaves some solid bitterness on the tongue & overall is a really good beer! beastiefan2k (3978) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Moving out of KS rate-a-poolza. 22oz bottle poured into an Ommegang tulip glass. Pours with a strong khaki head atop a black body. As the head fades it leaves a sticky lacing. Aroma is a nice and simple mineral roast, light yet full and clean. Flavor unsweetened cocoa with a clean yet spritzy mouthfeel. Mineral finish with a long but light roast aftertaste. Simple and right on the money. TheHOFF43 (2052) - Robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle shared in the lab! Pours a clearish brown with some not white head. Nose is roast malts, solid. Some chocolate and sweetness, good beer. Bacterial (2995) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Clear brown pour with just a little off-white head. Nice roasted malt nose. Solid body, malt sweetness is nicely balanced by bitterness, with a lot of chocolate notes in the finish.

22 oz bomber purchased at Metcalf Discount on 91st Street in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a brown burgundy with a 1/2 inch tan head that is lasting. The aroma is chestnut, mild roast, and a grassy earthiness. The taste is the roast, showing a bit of char up front, hitting on the chestnut flavor mid flavor, then moving to mineral and the dry grass in the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, high carbonation level, and a dry, char roast finish. Nice, easy drinking Porter. gregwilsonstl (2498) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Dark black. No head. No lacing. Chocolate. Pretty bland. Not much of anything. Ok, but not memorable. jcnielsen (3412) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Bottle. Pours a black color with khaki head. Mocha, chocolate, coffee, malty aromas. Sweet, malty, creamy, roasty flavors. Sweet and light-medium bodied for a porter. Pretty tasty beer. By far, the best Weston beer I’ve had. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 12, 2013
In short: A harsh, roasted, chalky and chocolaty porter. Tasty but a bit too rough.berrya785 (441) - Kansas, USA - JAN 16, 2013
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed relatively fresh one month after purchase from a Kansas store
The look: Black body topped by a medium beige head
In long: Nose is roast and black chocolate, this smells like a Lindt 90% Cacao bar over a slice of burnt toast with a bit of smoke. Taste is very roasted, strong chalky sensation, black chocolate, roasted coffee beans, a touch of smoke, roasted almonds, milk, wood coal. Overall very harsh with a mouth drying chalky/coal sensation. Not a bad beer, tasty for sure but just a bit too messy and too harsh to be sessionnable. Nothing remarkable here but at least I’m getting to enter another rating, but let’s be honest people, rating beers is not really a hobby, it’s not even a routine, it’s more like a symptom.
Bomber poured into a snifter. Pours an opaque dark brown color with a nice off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate.
