8.2, 500ml. Helder gouden zonder kraag. Aroma van zure groene appels, hout, zoet. Smaken zijn erg zacht met prikkelende co2, lekkere appel fruitzuren, zoetig, zoetzure afdronk, licht droog, m body, lekker voor de afwisseling.

danlo (2700) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2016
500ml bottle from local shop. 2015 vintage. Sparkling, golden colour, with a short-lived fizzy white foam head. Nose of apple, must, hints of funk and sulphur. Flavour is fruity apple, sweetish, with some underlying warm alcohol, light tannin, alittle oak, tartness and a sulphur hint. Oily mourthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry tangy finish. Quite OK.

ThirstyBird (2655) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2016
2014 vintage Bottle from Waitress. Pours a clear medium yellow color with a quickly receding head. The smell is wood, mature apples, floral, dust. The taste is very dry, vinous, some oak, some aged apple flavor with a crisp very dry ending. The body is light/medium with prickly carbonation. More depth than a lot of ciders.

Moravius (1154) - Beijing, CHINA - DEC 25, 2015
Flasche (Westons 2014 Vintage Cider, oak aged, 50 cl) von Jenny Lous, Peking. - Helles Goldgelb, blank. (Verkostung: 22.12.2015.)

Bottle from Tesco, Carrick-on-Shannon [081115] 2014 Vintage
Light blonde, clear
Aroma of soft bit sour apple, slight savoury note - maybe from the oak aging
Taste of soft apple, alcohol well hidden, quite mellow
Palate - Soft carb, light medium body, soft sweet, not tannic which is good. Finish a bit dry.
Overall - Better than expected. Drinkable for abv,

GoufCustom (1711) - HONG KONG - NOV 26, 2015

500 ml bottle 2014 Vintage bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Clear pale golden yellow colour; Less than none-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; No lacing with notable slow soft carbonation; Fragrant aroma of apple wine with strong tartness, strong wood barrels, light sandalwood, apple juice, white wine, light sugar and moderate tannic; Mid to light sweet taste of dry apple wine, with strong alcohol, liquorices, sparkling wine, barrel, light sugar and very light tannic; Light body, watery and very boozy palate; Mouth feel is good dry winey cider drenched in strong but quite tasty booze, not as hard-hitting as its 8.2% suggests. Barrel taste is permeating but not as strong as the aroma. Light tartness and liquorices finish. Easy and quite nice!... Fairly dry after taste. Boozy and winey to mouth.

Comments: This is my ideal version of a scrumpy - strong but tasty booze, very white winey, not too dry and with good deal of sweetness. Not as barrel-ish or tart enough for my likings, but still very enjoyable. Nice one!

Pours brilliant golden colour with tiny white head, which immidiately dissapeared. Visially high carbonation. Aroma with notes of an alcohol, oak and apples. Flavor is similar, firstly sweet, with slightly strong alcohol note, vinous, with notes of apples, hints of grape. Carbonation is high. Finish is tart, astrigent.
