Ciders equivalent to ‘Goon’. This one came in a 2 litre, cask bag so I served it up neat at room temperature which turned out to be right on the money. It pours a translucent honey gold. Bares a hefty, sugared, pickled apple nose – quite pronounced for a still cider, and just a little spicy. Lovely, silky mouthfeel, a little prominent green apple acidity, rather sweet overall and very fresh in flavour. Subtle astringency on the swallow, tangy, sweet/sour mix with good, clean ‘apple pulp’ flavours lingering long. Very easy going this, no complexity here, just straight-up ol’ cidery fun. I liked it, though the cask didn’t last near long enough. (2L, Jandakot liquor, 20/11/07) MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2007

Polypin at The Dun Cow, Hornton, Oxon. Greenish gold with no head. Light and sweet cider with a slight fusty note. Apple pulp flavour, eaters rather than cookers. Average. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2006
BiB at the Wharf, Aalborg. Clear, golden with some white foam at the rim. Sour apples and yeast in the aroma. The flavor is of green apples, yeast and with a clean, medium, sour and astringent mouthfeel. Like it. (060506) hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2006
Cask at JDW, Bedford. Golden colour with a sour apple aroma marred by various unpleasant background hints. Cloying sweetness dominates. Little sourness or bitterness. Enough to put you off cider. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 23, 2006
Bag-in-the-box at Charlie’s Pub, CopenhagenDonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2006
Blond color. The aroma is quite ordinary with apples, but the flavor is much better and complex, with ripe apples, light acidity, sweetness, light wood touch and very light smoke.
Aroma is ripe apples. Taste is also ripe apples with quite a bit of woody oak characteristics going on also. however maybe a little sweeter than i would want, but still excellently drinkable stuff.
