500ml bottle. Pours clear pale yellow, white foam for seconds. Ripe apple and pear in aroma, mild sourness. Sweet apple and pear in taste. Bit sugary. Long sweet aftertaste. Medium bodied, below average carbo. Well covered alcohol. Too sweet for me.

MartR (353) - Aespa, ESTONIA - OCT 29, 2016
Brilliant clear with a golden shade. Low to medium sweetness. Not very acidic, but kind of moldy on the other hand. Alcohol is infused nicely. Good perry taste. All flavors feel natural which is nice. Finishes champagne-dry.

minihame2 (641) - Oulu, FINLAND - OCT 15, 2016
Clear, pale yellow, slightly greenish colour, bubbly. Fruity aroma, pear, yeasty. Bitter taste, hits very dry at first but rounds up with a slightly sweet finish. Watery mouthfeel, low carbonation. It’s ok but not that great, way below the vintage apple version.

ManVsBeer (10448) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2016
Bottle from Morrisons, Leeds. Clear golden with a small carbonation. Its strength is noticeable, but its fruit is stated enough to enjoy, as well as its good smoothish texture. Its nose certainly has an alcohol infusion to it, so does its aftertaste.

First Perry, not just first rated - always avoided because I supposed they would have to be very dull. Bought as a sighter. Bottle, a cold. 6C. Clear gold. First sniff is encouraging: apples as well as pears, some flowers, wood, some peel. Medium bodied, very nicely judged lowish carbonation. Has a hint of that blousiness slightly over-ripe pears can have (possibly held in check by the coldness). Sweet with some astringency and a bit of wood at the end. The pears are not intensely flavoured but are not without character. Not bad at all.

Theydon_Bois (19490) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2016
Bottle at home, 21/06/16. Rich golden pour with a decent off White head that dissipates in due course. Nose is apple orchard, light smoke, straw, pear drop. Taste comprises light pear esters, apple pie, straw, toasted brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Ok.

allmyvinyl (10613) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 31, 2016
500ml bottle in the Leaping Salmon, berwick-upon-tweed, whilst waiting for the pubs with a decent ale range to open! Pours clear pale yellow with no head. Aromas of sweet pears, pear drops almost. Taste is light sweet, becoming cloying down the glass. Both thin and sticky, strangely. Leaves a chalky aftertaste, but not entirely unpleasant.

ThirstyBird (2925) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2016
Pours a clear light gold with a minimal head. The smell is tart fruit, very mild nose. The taste is floral, only a hint of pear, fairly sweet yet ending dry. Light in body with nice fine carbonation The mouthfeel was the best aspect of this perry.
