Can sample at a tasting. Thanks Tom L. Clear golden color. Aroma of apples, sulfur and a bit funky. Semi-sweet, flavors of green apples and floral. Dry finish. Decent.

I had the Stowford Press ’draught’--some suggestion that this is really just a keg, not a proper draught. The cider is clear and relatively low in carbonation (esp. compared to a Woodpeckers or similar). Tart and mildly sweet, with a finish that hints at a bit of bitterness. A bit limp, in my opinion. (Had at Victoria Arms, Oxford).

I had the draught. Refreshing, but if it was just slightly dryer it would be really refrehing. nice apple aroma. It’s nice, but the finish is quite thin and short.

Tart apples vie with an almost biscuity sweetness in the pleasant and inviting nose. Clear golden body is quite still with no viscosity or legs on the glass. Juice-like apple flavour is lightly woody and lightly spicy with some notes of brown sugar. Medium-light and fairly dry body is slightly sticky in the mouth. Sampled on tap at Charlie’s Bar in Copenhagen.

On tap at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Fizzy and golden with a pleasing musty aroma. Taste is agreeably but not overwhelmingly sour. Some sweetness, however I would have preferred a drier finish.

Tap at Blackwater Irish Pub, Winterberg. Together with Caesar. Aroma of overripe apples. Clear, dark yellow coloured with no head. Taste is sweet and very fruity (overripe apples) Quite dry finish. Nice.

440ml can. Golden applejuice colour. Medium head. Light aroma of fermented apples. Taste is medium dry and the finish is pleasantly tart. A bit watery palate but this one is still much better than most of the oversweetened local ciders.

Can. Rather average apple nose, pale gold color with lace. Bland, medium sweet flavor, apple, some spice. Just a touch of tartness. Drinkable and tasty, though not very interesting. Refreshing, not much else going on.

The smell is quite oily, almost a bit meaty, obviously a hint of Apple. Taste is a bit tangy, sweet but also a bit sour and bitter. The appearance from the can is a darkish orange, quite refreshing when I had it after a hot day.
