COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here comes the Dark! Dungeness dark is a Cascadian Dark Ale (CDA) brewed with generous amounts of hops and barley. It has a rich malt palate, deceptively full hop profile and is as black as the deep waters that are home to the Dungeness crab.

Medium brown, roasty/toasty with a light piney, and a touch of citrus. Good, if a bit rough around the edges.

Brown in color, clear with a thin tan head. Weak flavors and finish. I was hoping for more. The flavors where just watery.

Birch brown, with red highlights and a ring of head, but otherwise flat body. Nose is rather roasty and caramel toasty, not much hops detectable. Quite roasty for a black IPA--perhaps from emphasizing roasted barley and black patent malts rather than than the usual BIPA debittered malts such as carafa. Some hoppy bitterness pushes through. The finish is a bit rough, dusty, and acrid porter-like. Ok.
