2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Citrusy and funky aroma. The taste is complex and similar to the aroma. Not my type of beer i am afraid.

Pure white creamy head on a light golden, slightly effervescent with lots of particles (2 years past BBE - not that it matters!)
Light Belgian yeast aroma.
Medium bodied - creamy.
Soft floral tastes with Belgian yeast.
Very easy drinking. jacobarts (219) - Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2017 Bottle shared at Jones level 30 party. Clear pale yellow, aroma not that strong. Some wheat, light belgian yeast, hay and some spices. Taste is good and fresh and semi dry - easy to drink. Very good blond JaKeAFC (1247) - ITALY - AUG 24, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2017 Glass at in de vrede. Bright golden color to light orange, hazed. Big bubbly white head, fizzy. Aroma is amazing, malty with a lot of spices, almond, balsamic herbs, greatly hopped, some trademark yeast. Taste is perfect, full, harmonious yet very crisp and punchy. Body is medium while carbonation is explosive and maybe too much (but i didn’t pour myself sui i could not let it breathe), extra dry. Finish is long, aromatic, fresh, hoppy, dry. Excellent, delicious, i’d dare to say this is the champagne of beer, amazing belgian ale. A bit of extra point as it’s hard to find and the area is beautiful.

Better than fresh Orval but not as good as aged Orval. Similarities in the base beer abound. Good, refreshing, smooth bodied Belgian pale with a decent hop bite. indrekr (555) - ESTONIA - AUG 11, 2017
Appearance: golden, hazy, rocky head, white long lasting foam. Aroma: sour, wheat, bread, fruit-pineapple perhaps. Taste: light sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour. Palate: medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, astringent, medium bitter, long finish. jjsint (3312) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2017
Bottle bought at Beautiful Beers and drunk at home. Light blond, slightly hazy with a big white head. Smells of lemon, yeast rolls, hay, light sweet spices. Gorgeous taste: sweet with a slight lemony sourness. Delicate balance with some sweet and spicy yeast providing more dominance in the finish while never relinquishing the gentle back-of-the-tongue bitterness. Coriander, bay leaf, Horlicks and lemon balm in the aftertaste. Special. thellgren (1096) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 1, 2017
0.33 l bottle @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki (Jul 30, 2017). Appearance is golden, cloudy and a minimal head. This is a dry spicy blond bier. Didn’t quite expect so dry taste. Well, the ABV is quite low for a Belgian ale so I guess there is not as much sweetness as in the other more strong blond ales. I liked this one more than the abbey’s more famous dark 8 and 12. Sunday, July 30, 2017. Bottle 330 ml. Bought at Belgium in a Box in Antwerpen.
Served in Trappist glass. A really fresh Belgian Ale.
One of the best so far. Not as sweet as usual for the style. More like an Witbier in taste.
