On tap at Capone’s. Poured a golden/amber color with a small sized head. Lots of toastiness and grains with some breadiness. Tad on the thinner side.
Slightly hazy amber color with a thin khaki colored head. Very little lacing or head retention. Aroma of caramel and bread notes. Not sweet and just a little bitterness. No body. Rare miss for me from Weyerbacher. Art (3217) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2013
Pours a reddish brown with a white foam head. Smells just like bread. Pretty much a liquid bread. Thin bodied. DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 8, 2013
Draft at Capones. Pours hazy dark copper with khaki head and spare lace. Nose is caramel and Munich malt, hopcitrus, subdued hops. Tastes of bready caramel/Munuch malts, mild fruit, hops. A solid amber ale but not one that knocks my socks off. Goodgrief (2022) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - JUL 3, 2013
On tap at Pinocchio’s. A run of the mill amber ale with some toffee notes. A boring waste, if more intriguing options are available. zgaier (1951) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 28, 2013

On tap at Datz on Tampa. Pours a dark brown copper color. Nose is malty, coffee and caramel . Taste is complex, with a gummy vanilla scented taste. Finish is caramel, hard to pin down the taste, but good and different. Quaff score 8 / 10 closey22 (1914) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JUN 5, 2013
Dark amber with rimming white head; slight hint of vanilla and coffee in the aroma; Flava is green hay with notes of hop spice; feels medium with some foamyfizz; finishes dryish with notes if malt grain and hops nittanytide (282) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2013
Brown/copper in color, with a bubbly, white head. Faint bready aroma. Taste is bread, with very little sweetness and slight hoppiness. Decent and sessionable, but kind of watery. NikkTwist (3191) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 27, 2013

From a growler. Nose of caramel, some nice light toast and Maillard goodness, pleasant floral and woody hops, pours copper that still lets a lo of light through. Watery body with light-medium bitterness, bone-dry and attenuated out, still has some pleasant undertones of melony fruitines and light citrus and faint vegetal notes. There’s some really nice malt complexity here, and that does seem to be the design focus, but I think the hops are real winner, a little weird to session for too long but interesting and worth a pint. Very clean.
