Draft. Dark brown amber pour with tan head. Aroma is cinnamon and pumpkin. Bourbon whiskey finish that is dry, pumpkin and spice forward. pineypower (3346) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - OCT 31, 2011
Big thanks to a buddy for bringing this to a tasting. Pours out a muddy orange/brown color with no head. Aroma is of pumpkin spices, light wood, vanilla and bourbon. Taste is complex, bourbon, vanilla, pumpkin spices, nutmeg, light cinnamon, some light lingering sweetness and alcohol on the finish. I like it, do this more Weyerbacher. dmac (6459) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - OCT 27, 2011
Shared via growler from a guy I know who works in a store that shall remain nameless in case he wasn’t supposed to share this. Poured ugly, hey it’s a growler, ugly mud brown with no head what so ever. Aroma is very nice with notes of bourbon, pumkin, spice, ginger bread cookie, vanilla and booze. The body is rather smooth and hot with lots of alcohol heat and a very thin mouthfeel and almost flat with hardly any carbonation. Flavor of booze, vanilla, pumpkin and spices. Great concept beer they just need to dial in the barrel aging and get the carbonation up a bit, or maybe a fresher/fuller grolwer.
