22 oz. bottle - thanks to springslicker for the trade; pours clear, dark amber with slight head; fruity aromas of mints, cloves and licorice; low carbonation; flavors on the spicy side, a little tart and almost like fruit juice; a little hot with some pumpkin, vegi spice; a little on the odd side WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 29, 2008
Bomber bonused from hopdog. Shared with my girlfriend who loves Weyerbacher and Pennsylvania. Pours orange/red with a thin head. Nose is sweet and spiced. Taste is syrupy sweet and boozy. Boozy even after 3 years. This is interesting, but I can’t say if its great or not, I haven’t had this before to compare. Its at this point like a syrupy potent warming sipper. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 25, 2008
Thanks to SuzyGreenberg. Mint and clove aroma mix with roatsed malt in the taste. Minimal sweetness and a nice hit of alcohol that isn’t overwhelming at all. Strong bitterness to finish. Lots of spice/mint make this very interesting. Ibrew2or3 (8660) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 24, 2008
This 2005 vintage brew is courtesy of SuzyGreenberg. Pours orange to copper with slight haze and thin white head. It has a pungent aroma of roses, sweet cherries, sweet red apples, raisins, pepper and finishing with some heat. The taste is much the same with biting fruity sweetness up front from cherries and sugar coated apple wedges. It then bleeds into rose pedals, molasses and caramel. Wow, there is a lot going on here. It is both bold and smooth at the same time. Very nice stuff. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 14, 2008
Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of sweet malt, spicy, some dark fruit. Tastes of juniper, lots of spruce, spicey, a plethora of clove. Finishes sweet and spicy.

From a 12oz Bottle. Pours a hazy, caramel colored pour with a faint glimpse of off-white head. This has to be the most over-spiced beers I have ever tried, all homebrews included. The aroma abounds with peppermint, clove, menthol, cinnimon, and paint thinner, none of it pleasant and all of it overdone. Medium full bodied, lightly carbonated mouthfeel with a cloying sweetness. Not drinkable. Very alcoholic. Over spiced. Mint, pepper, and Vicks vapor rub. Lots of ginger in the finish. I could sit here all day and pick out specific spice sensations, but why bother, none of them are enjoyable. Alcohol presence is very pronounced. Overall, this tastes like a vodka spice potion. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - AUG 20, 2008
22. Thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Cracked 08 and obviously this is an 05 release. Hazy medium amber; headless, laceless. Big menthol, juniper, and spruce nose. Still. Slightly oily. Menthol, juniper, spruce and some black licorice on the mid-palate. Long menthol finish. What a curious, odd little beer. santos999 (318) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2008
Clear copper body with a thin beige head. The smell is indescribably spicy - chamomile, lavender, clove, rum, raisin, snickerdoodles, and cinnamon. Cloyingly sweet taste that is very spicy, almost nose hair singingly hot. Pepper, cinnamon, clove, heather, tea, rum, jasmine, honey, and herbal notes. Phenomenally complex. 3 years in the bottle, and its still needs tons more time to calm down. This was a joy to drink, but a chore to finish. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 7, 2008
From 2005 bottle courtesy of santoslhalper. Very aromatic. Spicy with orange peel and witchhazel, like a Ricola cough drop, maybe heather or chamomille. Raisin and rum, alcohol and banana. Vaporous. Coppery brown clear with some sediment. Thin off-white head. Medium-heavy watery body with medium-light carbonation. Big alcohol warming. Starts sweet with caramel malt and booze. Heather, lemongrass, orange peel and brown sugar. Still kind of hot. Finish is pretty sweet with decent spicyness. Tasty but heavy. grandet (501) - Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2008
Transfering from tasting notes. Bottle. dark amber pour with a think head. Aroma is very rich and inviting. Taste of spices and some more spices. Pretty good for the winter time.
