[At RBSG 2005] An orange beer with no head. The aroma is very alcholic combined with notes of ginger and spices - especially cinnamon - a very complex aroma. The flavor is fruity with lots of peaches and ginger, but also lots of alcohol - so much, that it burn the throat. The end is alcohol dry. Too alcoholic to really be me. joergen (27970) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 23, 2006
Clear orange coloured with an off white head.
Aroma of malts, caramel, spices and hops.
Flavour of malts, caramel, spices, liquorice and cardemomme. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2006
(Bottle 65 cl) Clear amber golden, basically no head. Berry like aroma - juniper? Very full-bodied with some sweetish caramel. Some odd - but pleasant - herbal accents. Quite spicy. Slightly sweet finish. Interesting indeed. 220406 omhper (24956) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 6, 2009
Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm (2005 vintage), thanks fiulijn! Cloudy copper colour, almost no head. Aroma of ginger, coffee and cardamom. Sweet and fruity. Quite sticky with honey and ginger as dominat features, backed up by evere amounts of alcohol. Seriously one-dimensional for such a potent beer. Like Becherovka, but less appetizing. madmitch76 (24355) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
29th June 2008. Brewed with honey and spices. The ingredients are not sublte! Sweet and aromatic with strong ginger and honey. Spice in there as well but hard to identify as it’s well integrated. A distinctive tasty beer.

Hazy red color; thin head (if poured normally, and too much carbonation in the beer) or big creamy head with medium persistance (if poured from high, and then the beer is correctly carbonated). The aroma is a bit soapy, herbal (rosemary? heater? mild…) and shows alcohol. Good body strength, quite sweet, maybe with too much carbonation, malt and sweet caramel flavor, correct bitterness (at least, it doesn’t surpass the sweetness). The alcohol can be perceived in the final, but at 13% I can’t say that it’s too offensive. I don’t fancy too much herbal flavors (it could have been an 8-5-8-4-16), and in the final it pays a bit for it. Good but not exciting.
Alkoholisch strenger Geruch. Würziger Antrunk der jedoch bald abflacht.Leicht süßlich-alkoholisch, etwas im Rachen brennend.Nicht sehr aromatisch, likörartig, etwas unausgewogen, im Abgang harmonischer, stark, hefig, ok. Sehr ruppig! Vielen Dank an DerDoppelbock für das Bier! Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 19, 2007
Hazy brown colour. Very spicy nose. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, alcohol and caramel notes. A little bit cidery, which is unfortunate. Light fruity finish. Nice brew, on the whole. I don’t think I got anywhere near sorting it all out but I liked what I did get out of it. MiP (15649) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2006
Bottle. Sweet pine aroma. Almost clear red copper colour. Small head. The flavour has a nice pepperiness. Quite spicy and herbal with a hint of added vitamins. Ratman197 (14660) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 1, 2005
Bottle poured a hazy copper with a creamy, tight and long lasting amber head. Aromas of ginger ale, toffee, and honey. Palate was heavy and syrupy. Flavors of honey, ginger, other assorted pie spices, and cola with a sweet warming finish.
