Bottle thanks to Laura. Pours a cloudy copper with small white head. The aroma is caramel and honey. Sweet vanilla malt and honey caramel, hides alcohol well, really enjoyed this one. Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 4, 2014

Bottle at Akkurat, September 2013.
Dark reddish with a lot of sediments. Sweet aroma and taste of apples, ginger, toffee, malt, spices and some oak. Also notes of alcohol. Drinkable but a little too much in the long run.

Alkoholisch strenger Geruch. Würziger Antrunk der jedoch bald abflacht.Leicht süßlich-alkoholisch, etwas im Rachen brennend.Nicht sehr aromatisch, likörartig, etwas unausgewogen, im Abgang harmonischer, stark, hefig, ok. Sehr ruppig! Vielen Dank an DerDoppelbock für das Bier! potbeerjob (1343) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 27, 2010
2005 bottle. A ton of ginger in the nose. A weird clear orangy color. smells a ton of ginger and tastes like a bad gin drink. Just weird to me but I like how different it tries to be. douglas88 (9437) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 28, 2010

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber body with an off white head. Very spicy, herbal, ginger, some tyme, and earth. Modest warming with plenty of honey and pine notes. A decent malt bill but heavily spiced and the finish is just very hot. A nice strong ale.
