Cloudy dark amber beer. Lush but well balanced hops dominate. Smooth marmaladey grapefruit and hop resins abound but it’s not too bitter. An odd dusty note detracts from what is otherwise a very nice beer.
Appearance is golden orange with hues of amber, slight turbidity. Nice white head with some staying power and excellent lacing.
Smell is fresh grass and pine with distant hints of lemon and black pepper.
Taste is very dominant hops, but not as overpowering as some American IPAs, this one is better balanced than most. Nice bitter finish which is long lasting.
Very drinkable. A notch below the Mikkeller Simcoe, but head and shoulders about the average American IPA. cgarvieuk (26769) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 18, 2008

Bottled. Strange hazy colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is flowery hoppy and caramellish. Smooth. Flavour is caramel, "IPA", fruitish and very positively hopped. Smooth and easy to drink. Refreshing. Also some nutty hints after it gets warmer. Hides the 9% very well. omhper (26217) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2006
[Bottled at Olivert Twist, Stockholm] Hazy reddish brown, lasting creamy head. Powerful aroma of sweaty grapefruits and lingonberry. Fairly sweet with lots of malt and reasonably soft mouthfeel. Though hop dominated alcohol plays a significant part - lingonberries are strikingly evident. Very bitter finish with plenty of salty licorice and tar. A good one.
