Bottle. Sensoric. Deep amber, medium hazy, floaty with small to medium, semi-thick, white head. Poor head retention and nice lacing. Aroma is tropical fruits (mango, papaya), resinous, also some moderately noticeable citrus notes (first of all oranges with some grapefruit). Malts are clear - biscuity and bread. Taste is medium to high bitter thru the whole time, perfectly balanced with malts. Full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is sticky, bitter and fruity. Refreshing, ABV is well hidden, which makes it even more drinkable, powerful and dangerous. In general this was one of my first US breweries that I’ve tasted (next to Flying Dog and Andersons Valley), still have old school Weyerbacher in my cellar, so this rating could be a little bit objective, but this beer definitely rocks in it’s powerful bitter taste. Afters few years I’ve tasted similar beer from ToOl SHOCK series: !!!PA Simcoe Mosaic !!! PhillyCraft (7235) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 31, 2016
Many bottles and taps, Draft at P house, clear copper orange with small white head. Notes of sticky pineapple, malt, sugar, bitter pine, and other orange skin fruit. This used to be one of my favorite ipas when i got into the game but after drinking clean juices like boat, old man hill hops, and good cali stuff its impossible to go back to these boozy, sticky, and sweet hoppy offerings. Zakupione w Dyspensie, Radom. No podwojny chmiel Simcoe wali po nosie konkretnie.

Tastes like itd been aged in bourbon barrels. Bit on the heavier side for my personal taste for DIPA. Couldnt drink too many of these..and i enjoy some DIPAs thepatrickman (1358) - Jevington, East Sussex, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2016
From notes (10/16/15). Pretty straightforward, slightly under-inspired DIPA. Lots of pine and not much fruit from the Simcoe. Not bad, though. Frank (4196) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 2, 2016
This is a glass of 2003--an amber colored, super bitter, super sweet IPA. It smells like a pine forest complete w/ a damp pad of pine needles and earth underfoot and tastes like hopped malt extract. It is big and syrupy on the palate w/ a bit of alcohol burn to it. This is really typical of everything wrong w/ the giant IPAs of decades past and I’m glad most brewers have moved on. trapped (3150) - New York, TURKEY - MAY 23, 2016
Bottle. Hazy dark orange with small foamy beige head, strong citrus peel aroma, low carbonation, sweetish start followed by bitter citrus peel taste, thickish body, medium bitter finish. The expiration date had passed, and it felt a bit too bitter. I am not sure whether it was because of that though. weihenweizen (3839) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAR 21, 2016
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, it seems best before March 4, 2016, oops. Opaque reddish medium brown with small beige head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, lower carbonation, and a little lacing. Taste is herbal hops, caramel malt, resin, and bitter finish.
