Kind of sweet. Kind of tart. Like apples or pears. Mmm. Apples and pears. Somewhat drying towards the end. Carbonated mouthfeel. Yummy yum yum. ghunte02 (29) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 27, 2006
bready malty aroma. bananas too. deep, cloudy brown collor. thin lightly fizzy mouthfeel. mildly bitter finish w/ a little alcohol i thinks- nice but not outstanding BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 19, 2006
Very light haze tag along to the auburn color. Decent retentive head and lots of lacing. Nose of metallic musky hops and a bit of acidulated malt and some various stale melanoidins. The flavor is tart with some spoiled hop and very unbalanced malt body. This just really doesn’t do it for me. Harsh insect taste on the finish. Maybe this is one of those cases where the brewer excels at only a certain range of styles. Jine (903) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - JAN 18, 2006
This ESB has kind of "hey, I’m a friendly little bitter" smell. Slight malts in the aroma. The taste is fairly similar, a decent belt of malts, a kiss of hops. A pretty solid ESB for throwing around I think. TrevorFloyd (309) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 2, 2006
Non-offensive, and easy to drink. It may not be great, but it doesn’t aspire to greatness either. Easy to enjoy on a summer afternoon, its a decent bottle to have in hand.

Tastes of sticky sweet malts with some hop bitterness at the end. It has a very unpleasent chewy aftertaste. I am not a big fan of this beer. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2005
Bottle. Poured a deep orange in color with a nice white head. Malty and caramel aroma. Sweet malty caramel flavor. Finish is malty. Drinkable beer. Medium bodied. Decent. Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - DEC 26, 2005
Bottle poured into Maredsous glass holds a nice, tight white head. Aroma is malt and caramel with some doughiness. Taste is sweeter than I like biut the lively of it actually cuts through making it drinkable. A decrnt American ESB. Birdiebeagle (958) - Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2005
12 oz bottle Pours a deep amber with an off white head which is fizzy and lasting, good lacing. Aroma is of bread and citrus. Taste is a smooth mild light bitter. Light body and lively. This is a very good beer. A little mild but still very good. RooftopRogue (423) - Champaign, Illinois, USA - DEC 11, 2005
A very mild yeasty smell can be detected. Copper in color with only a smidgen of a head. The taste is slightly bitter and is similar to stale sourdough.
