This fantastic brew began its life as "Charlie", the third installment of the Brewers Select Series. It is now part of our seasonal lineup and will be released in the month of January. It is an intricate dark ale with a touch of smokiness. The rich malt flavor, crisp bitterness and smoke reach perfect equilibrium in this brew. At 7.5% abv, Fireside Ale will warm you up as the temperature drops.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks to Aaron for the pour! Dark reddish brown pour with thin off white head, aroma has notes of nice smoke, chocolate hints of dark fruits, hints of slight sweet bacony notes. Taste is a mix of big smoky, chocolate, toffee, hints of biscuit, finishing fairly sweet but bitter. Nice.

Pours a chestnut/dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is slightly roast with light coffee and mild smokiness. Flavor is roasty with mild nuttiness and subtle but noticeable smoke...tasty. mouthfeel is medium and silky with a roasty finish that has smoke and faint coffee.

12oz bottle. Thin khaki head, fading to minimal. Little head. Clear mahagony color. Shared with Andrew over spring break, who asked, "Is there bacon in this?" Nice, rich smoky malt aroma. Some savory, salty taste. Lighter, crisp carbonation, drier, smooth texture. Decent smoked ale, but not worth the $3.50 I paid for it at the Sarasota Whole Foods.

Tree bark smell, and perhaps some gym socks, but the cleanliness of the glass is questionable. Dark tea colored, thin yellow head. Fig and dried leaves flavor, but dry. Faint smoke and rancid meat finish. Alcohol well concealed, velvety mouthfeel, medium body. Smoke was tastefully done, but the base beer wasnt remarkable.

not smoky on the nose, but very malty. Initial taste hits you as quite smoky. Not sure if I could drink a full case, but is tasty, unique flavor. Smoke dissapates as you work more into it. not too heavy though

Poured dark brown, with a foamy white head. Aroma is biscuit with a hint of cinnamon. Taste is rye bread with a touch of caramel sweetness. Dry finish that lingered.
