Pours turbid reddish brown, clayish with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is huge perfumy florals, berry, bubblegum, and banana at first, with some heat and hops with rewhiffing. The taste is fruity, with berry, spicy, floral perfumy notes, banana, berry, spices, red grapes, some spirity cognacy notes later on, and feety hops. Complex, with a rich palate, this one gets boozy and a tad astringent late, but maintains the frutiness and hops. This one comes off as a mixture of 50% Insanity, 15% Decadence, and equal remaining parts Bravo and Delta with a smidgen of Double Simcoe. Weyerbacher beers have a uniqueness about them, and the session style freaks and Weyerbacher detractors will hate this one, but it shows some of the hallmarks of Dan Weirbach’s brewing style and house character. I’d love to see the recipe for this one to see if my hunches are true. notalush (5875) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 28, 2009
Very hazy peach-colored beer - minimal head - aroma of tangy wheat, strong clove and banana phenols, honey, nutmeg - the nose is a bit weizenbock-ish - moderate carbonation, slightly syrupy - quite a bit of wheat in the flavor - lightly tangy, with honey sweetness developing through the middle, with some warming spices to temper that - mild phenols in the form of bubblegum and clove - subtle flavors of mango and peach - alcohol is strong, but not overpowering - not terrible for a big beer from weyerbacher. jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - JUL 27, 2009
From the tap poured brown with a good amount of head. Nice sweet malty flavor with a lasting finish. grandet (501) - Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 26, 2009
Bottle from jessup plaza. Poured a murkey amber color with a medium white head that didnt last long. Aroma is nothing like any other barley line i have smelled. This has alot of clove and banana aromas. This one does not taste much like any other barley wine i have had. Not bad but probably needs more time because it did not have that sweet dark fruit flavor of most other barley wines i have had. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JUL 25, 2009
Nice aroma of dried fruits and spice. Pours an amber with a big smooth head that stays on the glass. Taste is sweet with a spice note and a dry hop finish. Very unique and maybe not for everyone but I think it’s excellent. Nice alcohol burn as it warms. I’m going to let a couple sit for a year or so and see how they make out.

Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white pancake head with good retention. Bubblegum aromas. Syrupy with harsh honey phenols upfront and a lasting bubblegum alcohol burn. Ouch - age is the only thing that can improve this one - maybe they should have held onto this for a year and released as Fifteen.... adrian910ss (2574) - Doylestown, PA, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Pours a cloudy rusty amber with almost no head-a tiny white lacing. Aroma of candy sugar, warm alcohol, wheat and honey. Clears the sinuses. Taste of candied sugar, honey and wheat. Has a warm alcoholic finish and a bit syrupy. Birdiebeagle (958) - Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Bottle Pours a hazy amber with a good off white head. The head is creamy and lasting. Providesw excellent lacing. Has a good aroma of apple, honey, wheat, candy, and raisins. Has a light carbonation. The flavor is decent. Lots of sweet fruits. Well blended and the alcohol is well hiiden. Has a slick texture. The body id full. The finish is good with a plesant aftertaste. I am going to try to age one of these. It is fairly good, but get better with age. kkearn (1165) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2009
12oz bottle, from Capone’s (Norristown, PA). Pours a deep chestnut color, capped with a small off white head. Aroma of banana candy, honey, wheat, candi sugar and yeast. Wheat is the prominent flavor, with banana, brown sugar, raisin, and alcohol. Medium bodied, with a somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Ends with a huge alcohol burn, and some brown sugar lingering on the palate. This is too hot now. Hopefully it will improve with time. imadeadguy (378) - back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA - JUL 20, 2009
12oz. Pour is deeper amber with a small off white head. Aromas of candy, sweet fruit, slight piney hops, and caramel. Flavor is full of candy, plum, caramel, and alcohol warmth. This needs to sit for awhile imo. Nice brew but just to angry right now.
