UPDATED: SEP 21, 2004 Royal Stumble. Total drainpour. Funky orange color with out any real wheat taste. Light aroma and funky acidic taste. pobenohne (504) - Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2005 On draft at Johnny Brendas. Another fine example of a true german style hefeweizen brewed in America. Thumbs up!
Rerated 7/1/05 - Draft at Johnny Brendas - huge banana presence, absolutely delicious egajdzis (6855) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2004
Poured a hazy orange gold color with a small white head, but no lacing. Aroma of banana, wheat, citrus, and yeast. Bland taste of citrus orange, wheat, yeast, and light hops. DocLock (11231) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 14, 2004
I like Weyerbacher brews. This one is a solid hefe, with good citrus, yeast, and wheat aroma, and a smooth, crisp finish. jgb9348 (6642) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - DEC 3, 2003
Crystal golden in colour with tons of small bubbles-no head at all. Aroma of wheat and a bit of spices. Medium-bodied; Harsh astringent taste-not very pleasant. Aftertaste bittered from the medicinal taste. Overall, a very rare beer to try-but the bad results were expected as they haven't made this bottle in a long time! I found this twelve ounce bottle at R.F.D. in Washington and it is probably one of the last places to find this one. I sampled this beer on 28-November-2003.

Bottle at RFD in Washington, D.C. Old bottle. Cloudy yellow, very cloudy. Not much of a head. Faint taste and somewhat watered down. Decent balance and somewhat well bodied. Not bad, but probably much better when it is fresh. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - JUN 14, 2003
Cask at the Grey Lodge in Phila. Smelled like a Hefe. Had a faint taste of a hefe. Way too cloudy and chunky for me.

while this has the banana/clove notes it leans towards the tangy yeasty flavours giving a nice fruity sweet and sour balance. Schroppfy (2362) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - OCT 16, 2002
I thought it was interesting. Definitely more leaning toward the sour wheat components than the banana. I thought it quite hefty; yes, dark, head dies immediately, but I still liked it. A bit off style (not too much, I don't think) but good. dolemike1 (1289) - Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2002
Decent hefe, i noticed cloves, bananas, and some cidery notes much like the others who have rated this beer. Kinda watery , but overly a decent beer.
