Near black pour with a tan head that vanishes quickly. Tight lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Flavor of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and a touch of caramel. Smooth mouth feel. Very nice beer. patrickfannon (1242) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2010
Draft. 5 oz flight at Teresa’s Pours dark, almost opaque, brown with a velvety tan head. Aroma of molasses, brown sugar, roasted malts, barley, and smokey notes. Body is medium, but, like most porters, a bit on the thin side for me. Mouthfeel is somewhat slick because of the lack of body, but not unpleasant. Okay porter, just not my favorite style. UPDATED: JAN 30, 2010 On tap at redlight. Pours dark brown, tan head. Aroma is whats to be expected with a porter, dark malts and some baking chocolate smells. Taste is balanced, nice rich dark, roasty malts and a bit of the similar bitter/baking chocolate. Medium, smooth mouthfeel, very easy going considering the abv. Draft at redlight redlight. Pours a dark, translucent brown with a generous tan head. Very nice nose. Some hints of chocolate and roasted malts. Subtle hints of coffee and condensed milk. Even has a nice, slightly earthy undertone. The flavor is good but could go a little further in one direction or the other. Still it has a good sweetness up front that rounds out with a nice roasted bitterness in the finish. Smooth and creamy on the palate. Not bad at all. douglas88 (9795) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 14, 2010
12 ounce bottle shared by footbalm, thanks Eric. Pours a dark brown color with a medium white head. A sweet milky aroma, light hops and chocolates. The flavor is initially a hoppy porter, pine and earthy notes, later a more milky sweet chocolate flavor dominates. Sweet and tasty. Nice.

12oz bottle thanks to ShadesofGray. Dark black, coffee colored head, looks like it should. Smells roasty, not bad but nothing great. the flavor was very, very robust with roasted flavors, burned, bitter, alcohol, actually not too shabby but really strong. Overall, a decent porter but not one I’d feel the need to revisit.
