Backlog, sampled with Pat on tap at Theresa’s in Wayne for their Weyerbacher takeover. Poured a cola brown with average sized top. Light lacing. Notes of smoked malt, coffee, brown sugar and toffee. More complex as it warms up but a little thick in the mouth. Sickboy282 (1116) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 1, 2012
bottle... thanks Jeff! Pours a deep, deep brown hue with a soft, off-white head with very nice lacing....so far. Aromas of roasted malts (expected), a touch of diactyel, cereal/straw and a dry presence; not over cloying. Mouth feel is medium to full bodied with flavors of musty grapes/prunes/dates, with a minor smokiness. A touch of banana with a lingering sweetness that isn’t overbearing. Soy sauce is there, but not overwhelming as well. Carbonation is mellow. I don’t think this could age much longer than two more years as it already has some aged notes ...max! very delightful! madmitch76 (25536) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2012

Opaque black beer, no head. Smooth semi soft palate. Trace amount of carbonation. Dark malt, subtle marmite and coffee. Minerals. A little malt cream. Neutral finish. Not bad.
7/30/12. On tap at Kickbacks - vintage 2010. Rich black pour with a nice tan head that sticks and laces well. Rich roasted coffee and dark chocolate on the aroma with touches of acidic dark malt sourness. Rich dark and milk chocolate flavor with lingering coffee and roastiness. This is surprisingly good - maybe the aging? cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - JAN 23, 2012

Pours deep brown/black with a medium dark mocha head...very lively...decent retention and lacing. Aroma is roasty/burnt and has dark fruit...lightly milky, hint of bitter coffee. Flavor has a touch of dark fruit up front followed by burnt toffee or molasses, espresso, and a touch of cocoa...spicy subtle hops. Mouthfeel is very lively, medium palate, roasty cocoa dry finish with subtly spicy hops that lingers nicely. beernovice39 (3269) - Idaho, USA - AUG 10, 2011
Draft at Kickbacks. Deep brown pour with a tan head. Scent is dark chocolate, dark roasted malt and sugar. Taste is same with an earthy note. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 19, 2011
Tasted on 4/19/11 from a 12oz bottle obtained in a trade. Pours an almost black dark brown with an average tan head that slowly recedes to thin lace and an average collar of lace. The nose is vanilla, roasted coffee, milk and dark chocolate, and a light bitterness as well. The flavor is sweet milk chocolate and vanilla up front, moving to the more roasted and bitter flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, and cocoa nibs. The body is full with average carbonation and a long coffee and dark chocolate bitter finish. j12601 (13093) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JAN 31, 2011
