Leighton (22051) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2015
Bottle shared during the Grand Tasting of RBWG 2015. Pours clear chestnut with a foamy head. Pretty hearty, with lots of tangy and ripe fruits, berries, caramel. Medium sweet flavor, pretty oily and tangy. Lots of oxidation present in the finish with old fruits, berries in particular, some uninspiring caramel. Must be pretty old. Interesting, but that’s about it.

Koelschtrinker (21318) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - FEB 23, 2012
Säuerlicher Beginn mit deutlichen Eichennoten. Trockene Malznoten, die Säuerlichkeit wird milder, gleichzeitig aber schärfer. Interessant, süffig, ausgewogen, vollmundig. Gut! 8/12/12/12/9/12

Bottle at RBWG ’15 Grand Tasting @ Coppertail, thanks to whomever shared this one, 21/02/15. Light murk on a chestnut/amber hue topped with a moderate off white cap. Nose is ladys knickers, nutty, soured fruit, must. Taste comprises big sherrified wood licks, toffee, earthy, spice. Full bodied, viscous feel, light warming booze. Hmmm...not a great.

brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 18, 2012
The pour is a murky mahogany color with sort of a small off-white head. Wow, what an aroma. Cheese, vinegar, and soy sauce are among the strongest aromas. A bit of liquor and booze, maybe some oak, definitely some oxidation and leather. The flavor is just bad. Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, bad chocolate, and vinegar. Definitely salty with some almost cauliflower taste. God, what is this? Medium bodied with low carbonation.

Pouring at EBF’s Night of the Barrels. Pours a hazy brown with a medium beiged tan head. Light funk, bourbon, vanilla. Sweet and malty, candy like. Really boozy and sweet with some plums.
