12oz bottle. Slightly cardboardy aroma. Taste is intense bitterness, followed by roasted caramel malts. The malts are so strong that you kind of forget about anything else. Very much an East Coast IPA, and kind of a meh example of the style. mattern33 (106) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2013

12 fl oz bottle from a friend of a friend, served cold in a tulip glass. TATE (407) - Lubec, Maine, USA - SEP 2, 2013
App.: Clear amber with a decent tan head.
Aroma: Lightly mashy/brothy, earthy notes, smells a bit British, peppery and resinous, decent sweet, biscuity malts, a little caramel, oddly floral or soapy, a bit fruity as it warms.
Palate: Medium body, very relaxed effervescence.
Flav.: Lightly peppery, a little soapy and floral, a bit of resin, a hint of butterscotch, dark bread crust, so-so; dry with moderate bitterness and a lightly buttery, peppery finish.
Not working for me.
On tap at Cohill’s. Pours amber with a thin head. Fruity aroma. Mellow maltiness quickly taken over by but hop bitterness with both grapefruit and piney flavor. This one got even more bitter as it got warmer. This is a well built west coast style IPA and I have scored it a little lower because its not my favorite style. On cask. Hazy dark amber with thick foamy lasting head; aroma is hoppy and notes if roses; Flava is malty hoppy and slightly roasty; feels medium and silky; finishes dry and slightly bitter a bit of hops and malt Prokroustis (745) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - AUG 27, 2013
Murky copper colour, small white head. Aroma with grapefruit, lemon, lime, some caramel. Nice intense bitter and dusty hoppy flavour with grapefruit, some mango and hints of pine. Not bad.
