COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-flavored hop assault delightfully lacking in balance. A combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus hops are used to produce pungent aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus.

This is great IPA to me. Taste and smell the aroma of hops. Little to any fruit malt but some for balance. Great tasting brew.

Comes out of the tap a barely transparent amber with a thick, fine-bubbled pale amber head that sticks around for a while. Hoppy aroma has both woody and resiny components, as well a a nice malty underpinning and more than a hint of citrus. Flavor has a firm hoppy note, but is barely bitter, and has malty and Mandarin orange tones supporting it and providing a little sweetness to balance the slight hoppy bitterness. Firm, fizzy texture leaves a nice hoppy and slightly fruity finish.

12 oz. bottled 06/19/2017. Mostly clear, burnt orange with a disc of beady foam. Crisp aroma of spicy dank herb, mild citrus blend with notes of evergreen resin and clean toasted grain. Flavors of the same mix with light touches of peach bubblegum, green banana, menthol, white pepper and wheat toast in the mix as well. Smooth near-medium bodied with a low carbonation and a definite hop bias but still has an easy drinking balance. Little different hop mix than the norm in this tasty, complex IPA that will find a spot in my regular rotation as long as it remains available in the area.

Strong pine/grapefruit nose. Golden color. Minimal white head. Sharp bitterness, mixing with floral towards the finish. Smooth, but with some texture.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a smaller sized off white head. Some lacing left on the glass. Aromas of floral hops, pine and citrus. Tastes of the same with some toastiness. Gave me citrus burps.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head. Nose was resiny and piney, sprucey, with a flavor of astringent piney IBU-laden hops, a decent caramel malt bill, some fruit, but mostly acidic citrus. Very good, and my 2nd favorite Weyerbacher IPA behind the one that preceded this one and whose name evades me.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2012 nice pine and grapefruit hit on the hops. good golden color with red hue. caustic sharpness in the body followed by a farina malt flavor. hop head beer! hop aroma fades to a malt aroma, just the way we like it.

Bottle from Total Wine in Orlando, FL. Pours hazy gold with an off-white head. Rather citrus aroma. Med + body. Flavor is hoppy citrus, even zest. Sturdy malt backbone. Finishes with hop burn and bitter. Quite nice.
