3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop in Durham. Pours lightly hazy amber with a thin head and mild lacing. Nose is pond water, skunky hops. Citrus zest. Taste is is similar with more mineral/metal notes. Hm.
12 oz. bottled 06/19/2017. Mostly clear, burnt orange with a disc of beady foam. Crisp aroma of spicy dank herb, mild citrus blend with notes of evergreen resin and clean toasted grain. Flavors of the same mix with light touches of peach bubblegum, green banana, menthol, white pepper and wheat toast in the mix as well. Smooth near-medium bodied with a low carbonation and a definite hop bias but still has an easy drinking balance. Little different hop mix than the norm in this tasty, complex IPA that will find a spot in my regular rotation as long as it remains available in the area. Pours a moderately cloudy orange with a finger width white head. Piney, citrusy nose. Flavors mirror the aromas. Nothing exciting about the beer, but not offensive either. Bebum (1039) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Cloudy, deep gold.
Full body, flavorful, high carbonation but average heat, rich mouthfeel, good length.
Dry, medium bitter.
Predominantly hoppy, bready, resiny, herbal.
Tasty but missing something.

Weird IPA, getting some strange vegetal-soap flavors backed by a metallic undercurrent. Nose has a rotting vegetation funkiness, not pleasant at all, with a hint of wet dog. I mean, this IPA smells really, really bad. Looks considerably better, but the taste is all over the place, pennies and ganja and old malt and Dial and caramel and citrus, at times okay, at times off as hell. Finishes with a solid bitterness offset by citrus, but nothing can save this beer. Scores higher than it should. decaturstevo (6341) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - APR 26, 2017
Gold pour with white head. Aroma is sweet bready malt and resiny/fruity hops. Sweet start with a fruity/citrus finish. Medium body with solid bitter finish. good ipa

More along the lines of the older ipas, malty, dry finish. More piney and resin flavors. Fairly thick body. migwell (365) - Massachusetts, USA - FEB 28, 2017
Ever wonder what aluminum foil might taste like? Wonder no more after opening one of these.
I really enjoyed the other Weyerbacher brew I’ve tried, their quad, and was hoping for another nice surprise with this one. Aroma is good and fruity and I do like all the little white yeasties floating around in the glass. The flavor, however, is not a pleasant one. It’s piney, malty, somehow chemical and metallic and has a mildly bitter finish, neither complex nor attractive. Disappointing. jonas (7757) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 27, 2016
Sampled from bottle at the special Weyerbacher tasting in Getränke Oase.
Murky Amber, low offwhite lace.
Very herbal tea like nose.
Lightbodied, light flat tinny, metallic, dry herb retronasal. Seemed a bit off.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is pure hop pellets, citrusy, spicy-earthy. Taste is juicy orange, a bit earthy, toasted malts, bittersweetish slightly warming finish. Oily mouthfeel. Not bad, but the pure hop pellet aroma is not for me. johnnnniee (4376) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 9, 2016
Bottle from Bert’s
Slightly hazy light golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head. Earthy pine and resin with a sweet bready maltiness to back it up. Not quite as dry as I’d like but its a decent beer.
