On draft at Capones. Pours a light coppery amber with a small white head. Aroma of light buttery notes, nuts, hints of bread and hops. Taste is much the same as the aroma. jredmond (8508) - New York, New York, USA - APR 25, 2011
Draft at RnH with Streets during Weyerbacher Night. Pour is amber red body with slight white head. Aroma is fresh hop and earthy notes. Mouthfeel is medium and smooth with notes of sweet caramel malts and fresh hop. One of my fav weyerbachers of the night. Chalsk (1104) - North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA - APR 30, 2011
On tap at Cloverleaf. Pours an amber brown color with an off-white foam head. Has an aroma of roast and earthiness. Sweet roasty, malty taste with a nice hop layer. On the lighter side, refreshing. Very unique flavor to it, but I’d vote it down as the their flagship IPA. alobar (3879) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 23, 2011
On tap at Capone’s. Pours a clear amber color with a white head. Aroma of citrus, earth, and pine. Flavor shocks you though. Very little hop bitterness and a dominant presence of smoke. Thought I had the wrong beer. Some earthiness, citrus and caramel, but lots of smoke. Nice beer!

Draft. Pours amber red with an off white head. Sweet hoppy aroma, fruity and floral, with light sweet malty notes. The flavor has toasty malts, floral hops, fruity notes, and sweet malts. Solid. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 30, 2011
Draft from Capone’s. Pours chill hazy brown, like a dark straw with brown early fall leaf edges and a 1-finger off-white head. Nose is earthy caramel malt, hops, I swear I smell toasted bread and butter in this one. Tastes earthy, hoppy, resiny, like a vienna, but with a definite rauchy element that integrates pretty well into the beer. Palate is medium, not terribly complex. This one is unique, but not a world beater. Slipstream (2677) - USA - MAY 29, 2011
On tap at Capone’s . Pretty mellow, bready, and astringent. To me it seemed like an amber - a little hard to categorize, from looking at others’ comments. Huhzubendah (3736) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 16, 2012
On draft at Capone’s in Philadelphia.
The beer is a dark amber color, with a finger of off-white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. The aroma brings a balance of hops and malts, with additional spice notes. The flavor is slightly sweet, with an even balance of hops to malts. This is not the typical American hop bomb. Quite the contrary. The finish leaves a malty aftertaste on the palate. While this is a decent brew, the beer’s title is misleading. This is far too malt toward to be an IPA. A decent beer, as long as you aren’t expecting it to be hop forward, as is customary of the style.

Brown clear pour off white head light lacing ... aroma is light some tea and earthy notes light hops ... taste is nutty and malty with lightly floral and some funky hops, earthy with notes of tea and light bitterness on the tongue ... dry malty and bitter hop finish ... not a bad english style ipa but not a winner either
