Pours a dark reddish brown with minimal head. Aroma of Cherry Licorice. Taste is initially sweet with a complex array of rich malts. This is slightly offset by a dry spicy finish and a pleasant roasted malt lingering flavor. bth122 (1571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 13, 2011
Dark amber color, bottle poured. Not a huge aroma; maybe some caramel malt. Med-lite sweetness, slight bitter. Med-lite body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Man is this smooth! Great palate. Creamy caramel malt flavors punciate this beer. Well done adrian910ss (2581) - Doylestown, PA, USA - MAY 25, 2011

Pours dark brown from tap with an inch of foam. Nice caramel notes on the tongue as well as a touch of molasses. There’s something about the aroma which wafts up through the nostrils. Smooth peat like taste on the tongue. Clean finisher. Very nice.
