Draught -- Harrisburg Brewfest. Golden pour, lasting thin head. Incredibly strong vanilla upfront in both the flavor and the aroma. The oak does not do well for the already sweet Belgian golden. Comes out cloyingly sweet. None of the esters or malty complexity are accessible through the intense sugary sweetness.

Bottle from my cellar. Pours hazy gold with a quickly fleeting white head. The aroma is fruity and quite vinous. Acidic and sharp on the nose. Vinegary, perhaps this has gone south.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, bourbon, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, alcohol, bourbon, and spices, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

pours an opaque yellow/orange color with a thin white head...light sediment throughout...decent lacing. aroma is lightly spicy and sweet, hint of bourbon, hint of sour. flavor is mildly soured with notable bourbon and oak undertones...soem vanilla. mouthfeel is slightly watery and flat (very old bottle) with a dry and funky vanilla oak finish. odd...

22 oz. bottle I had in my cellar (lost) for years. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma has a slight Belgian character, vinous notes and a big white wine spritzer component. There is a hint of some bourbon hanging around. The flavor has Belgian yeast, white wine, pineapple, honey and bourbon. I would have liked to have had this fresh, but sometimes a beer or two gets lost in the shuffle.

22oz bomber. Pours a dusky orange/amber color with a thin white head. Great boozy/bourbon aroma with slight musty/woodsy oak notes coming through. Very smooth medium palate. Not overly bourbony upfront, smooth quite drinkable beer that moves towards a more oak/bourbon/boozy taste towards the mid and end of palate. A bourbon barrel aged Belgian Triple isnt something I would have thought to do but its very enjoyable. You do however, lose a most of the traditional belgian triple character of the unaged beer. This is a very smooth, enjoyable beer and definitely worth checking out. Overall (A)
