Bottle at home shared with my wife. Appearance is murky amber with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Somewhat funky, acidic, light vinegary, woody, vinous aroma. Taste is plum, red grapes, tannin, vinegar, light acid, oak, and wax ending moderately sour, leaving my lips feeling tingly. Light body with high carbonation. Pretty good sour but could definitely benefit from less acid.

750ml bottle. Rating #68. Deep and pretty dark and hazy brown amber color with a small light tan head. Nice aroma, tart fruitiness, some dark fruits as well and some woodiness. Interesting flavor, more wood and tart apple like thing, maybe pear instead actually. Pretty nice overall. (2490)

20120907 750ml bottle from somewhere I can’t recall. Cloudy dark amber color with lasting though small tan head. Aroma is wickedly ripe with apple cider vinegar and sour cherries, though also quite sweet and really generally reminiscent of the regular Rodenbach. Flavor is woodier Rodenbach and that’s not so bad. The dryness isn’t quite there, but maybe it would develop, and the finish is rather cardboardy. Lingering vinous notes. Somewhat mineral or salty. Light bodied overall. It’s a fair effort, but nothing exciting although at first whiff I was pretty hopeful.

Bottle, 09/03/2012. Pours dark copper, ruby highlights, thin head. Aroma of dark berries, light lactic acid, sharp oak with touch of vanilla, brett, earthy red wine. Taste is tart, lactic, dark fruits, oak, balsamic, vinous. Soft, not too sour. Actually well done, well balanced, enjoyable. Hope to come across this again.
