7/24/12. 12oz bottle from Grassroots. Hazy orange pour with a small khaki head that goes away fast and laces in small, sparse rings. Lots in the aroma, including citrus, estery Belgian yeast, spice, candi sugars, and more, but it’s all sort of a muddle sweetness. Sweet candy entry encouraged by all of the citrus. Estery yeast and touches of spice and dryness hit next followed by more lingering sweetness. Eh. Dorwart (2616) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - JUL 24, 2012
Thin white head of fine bubbles with minimal carbonation. Needs more bubbles for the style. Aroma of ripe fruit, yeast, straw and some herbal hops along with a good helping of sweet malts. Color is a milky golden orange. Little more life once in the mouth with decent effervescence. Pears, spices, dried orange peel, herbal hops and some spicy yeast. Pretty representative of a good saison. Body is a bit thicker and chewier (maltier) than a typical saison but still very tasty. Noticable alcohol presence that warms and lingers for a bit. A pretty good brew. FROTHINGSLOSH (8308) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a murky yellow-peach color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy table sugar, must, lemon, orange, bread and a bit of chalk. The flavor was boozy but in a good way with notes of table sugar, apricot, orange, bread, honey, pepper, coriander and fennel. The finish was long, boozy and tangy with lingering orange, apricot, pepper and bread. Thick and full body. Excellent. Boliv (1150) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Bottle. Pours hazy/cloudy dark orange with a thin white head. Aromas of pineapple, Belgian yeast and bubblegum, and sugar; some alcohol heat and pepper. The flavor is Belgian yeast, lemonpeel, orangepeel, and spices. Alcohol heat, citrus, and spices, with a spicy finish. Medium body and carbonation, boozy, and a dry finish. Not bad. willblake (2664) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JUL 19, 2012
20120718 12oz bottle from Wine Source. Dark, hazed golden color with almost no head but a wisp of white. Aroma of apricot, wet cereal, apple butter. Sticky, somewhat heavy on the palate, with light eff, and lingering sweetness. This one is more like a tripel to me, or some kind of strong Belgian golden. Nothing particularly interesting. If there’s peppercorn in this, it’s lost on me. No notable citrus or hops. OK.

Fruity aromas. Grapefruit, lemon and Belgian yeast flavors. Hides the alcohol well. Overall a tasty beer. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - JUL 18, 2012
(draft @ 101 Bottles - Kent, OH) Hazy orange pour with a thin head and mild carbonation. Very floral and citrusy hops are the first thing you smell, along with some orange and grapefruit zest. Couldn’t really detect any peppercorns in the aroma. Herbal flavor at the start with a nice and effervescent citrus flavor. You can definitely pick up all sorts of citrus but no peppercorn. Still enjoyable. Stldsf1 (659) - Florida, USA - JUL 18, 2012
Cloudy orange with thick frothy head. Spices citrus hops leap out. Piney resin turns to honey citrus. Some Spice But bitter on end but decent saison

No hint of pepper to speak of whatsoever but it is a nice herbal/phenolic/citrusy american saison. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Aroma is heavy spice, floral, lemon and orange peel. Appearance is cloudy pale orange with a white head that vanished quickly. Taste of licorice, pepper, grass, and lemon. The peppercorns really come out here. Thin body.
