12 oz. Bottle dated 05/30/12. Whoa, baby. This is a big saison. Spicy scent, citrus, pineapple, banana custard, apples. Cloudy copper pour with a white foamy head with stay power, lots of carb bubbles, and great lacing. Solid medium body, sticky syrupy feel with a slight fizz on the finish. Yeasty dough citrus, pineapple, spicy pepper taste, strong alcohol finish, acidic, a bit bitter. bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 16, 2012
Pours hazy golden amber with a slight head. Smells a bit earthy. lMed body. Has an earthy tripel like flavor with a fair amount of fruit sour. Finishes peppery barnyard. Quite nice. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 16, 2012
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours apricot with a thin beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a caramel malt and sour peach flavor with a warm alcohol trail. This is one I could sip all eveinng unitl I fall over. A lot more earthy and alcoholic than most saisons. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 15, 2012
On tap at the Knick. Fragrant floral aroma. Bubblegum, coriander, spice, yeast. Sweet with mild wheat tang. Medium amber clear with mild haze, topped with very thin white head. Medium body with heavy carbonation. Starts pretty sweet, with alcohol and tons of floral character. Good bitterness and spicy notes with bubblegum, coriander, and yeasty funk. Bit bitter finish with alcohol, a little harsh. Bitter sweet after. pilgrimoutlaw (888) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 14, 2012
Bottle pours cloudy orange with thin white head. Bread, orange zest, pepper, coriander, bubblegum. Moderate bitterness and sweetness. A bit acidic on the tail end. Smooth medium body. Hard to detect any alcohol. It’s a little too spicy, otherwise, it’s a fine beer.

Bottle from Spirits Lacey. Pours out a cloudy, orange/golden color with a small lacing white head. Aroma is of fruity, earthy saison yeast, grain, citrus zest, pepper and some light alcohol. Taste is lemon zest, light sweet fruity notes, heavy peppercorn, berry, yeast, and some lingering light alcohol in there. Overall ABV is well hidden, and the beer lives up to its promise...a saison on steroids. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Pours golden honey in color with no head. The aroma brings some sweet booze notes and almost berry malts. The flavors bring similar sweet boozy syrupy malt flavors on a fairly thick body. Not spciy as expected, almost like agolden barleywine. drcboehm (104) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Draught sampler. Definitely grapefruit here. Still very complex and enjoyable. Recommend highly. julieimagery (182) - Coconut creek, Florida, USA - JUL 8, 2012
This smells a little off and looks like orange juice. It has the taste of a tripel with a lot spices added to it. I enjoyed it more than some other typical saisons because it was less "barnyard" and more peppery, fruity and sweet. dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - JUL 7, 2012
12oz bottle poured into glass. OK so I’ve tried a few of these beers before (15,16 etc) most have been good so I was expecting this one to follow suit. For a saison orange/lemon peel is pretty common so I wasn’t really blown away by the aroma/flavor but the ABV is masked very well here. 10.5ABV for a saison is pretty damn high.
