Sierra (the NATO / phonetic alphabet letter S) is the next up in our series of Brewers Select beers. Sierra is Weyerbachers take on a milk stout. Starting off with a healthy dose of Maris Otter as a base we integrate some roasted barley, plenty of chocolate and munich malts, a touch of flaked oats and some milk sugar (lactose) to balance out this roasty treat. The dark chocolate and roastiness stemming from the malts along with the slight residual cream-like sweetness left from the milk sugar make for a complementary flavor thats sure to please the stout lover and even those not yet familiar with this old English style of ale.

Draft at redlight redlight, Orlando. Surprisingly good. Head is gone in seconds. Strong roast in the aroma. Oily, with sweet roast flavors and a slight kick from the lactose. Makes ne want some Andes Mines for some reason.

Serving: Draft at Fireworks. It pours a nice dark brown color with a small head. The nose leads with roasted malt and some milk chocolate. The flavor has that plus some flint, milk sugar, and an underlying fruitiness. Medium to full body with a lingering fruity finish. Definitely a nice brew and worth a try.

Pours dark chocolate amber with a decent tan head. The aroma has light sweet malt and coffee roast notes. The flavors of sweet and creamy coffee and dark roasted malts blend so well on a decent thicker medium body. Delicious.

On tap at Pinocchios. Dark, with a thin head. Roasted, milky aroma. Lots of roasted malt with some very mild milky lactic notes. Became more chocolate like as it warmed. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

Black brown pour with mocha top. Smells of chocolate and brown sugar. Roasted malt flavor followed by sweet and chocolate goodness. Silky smooth on the palate and warming. It hits you after a bit; I would guess it is over 10%.

Black pour with no head. Oily mouthfeel. Aroma of lactose, roasted malt, and vanilla. Sweet flavor with lactose, chocolate, and vanilla upfront and some roasted malt underneath. Really good beer!
