From notes on 9/28/2007. On tap at Teresa’s Next Door...
Appears a dark amber-brown with a small, off-white head that slowly fades into a cap with a decenct collar.
Smell is of bananas, cloves, cocoa, and roasted grains.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a beautiful, ripe, dark fruit flavor pulling through to compliment the cocoa, banana, and clove notes. A nice blast of peppery spiciness, and citrus pulls up the rear. Really delicious.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, spritzy up front with brown sugar lingering into a smooth finish.
Well done dunkelweizen. One of my favorite styles. Not sure how this would turn out if bottled but damn fine on draft. MrBendo (1064) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - SEP 20, 2007
